  1. I'm completely open to having the conversation, listening, and meeting any player demands that can be reasonably met, but is anyone else not bewildered that this is a phenomenon primarily happening at Texas with so many players threatening to quit? Yes, we are southern school in a Confederate state with plenty of racist history to be ashamed of. We are also probably the most progressive and inclusive school in the former confederacy. Why does it seem like this has become a UT issue and not a SEC, Clemson, or FSU issue? Why isn't half of Auburn's team threatening to quit playing?
  2. That entire conference cheats its ass off, but fuck the Aggies and lol at them getting caught. God forbid if we ever get caught cheating, hopefully the results are better than 4th place division finishes. If you're going to break the rules, make an effort to win a few games.
  3. This article is from March so it may have already been discussed somewhere on the board, but I just saw this today on Reddit. Amazing. Even when they decide not to kill you, they have no problems planting drugs in your car and ruining your life. This guy plead guilty 2 years ago to a possession charge to stay out of jail, and then video finally surfaces from the bodycam of the cop showing him planting it in the car. This shit is infuriating. And it was the second time he was caught doing it. Every single possession charge this cop and his partner have ever given should be thrown out and he should be in jail. So many bad apples. Too many to count. https://theintercept.com/2020/03/18/nypd-misconduct-body-cameras-marijuana/
  4. Me too. I recently discovered they have new episodes of Blind Date on Bravo. It's not as good as the original run, but it was a fun nostalgic watch.
  5. Every commercial on TV being COVID themed. There's about 400 commercials right now with people in Zoom meetings telling everyone how we're all in this together and to stay safe. Is there only one person in advertising making the exact same commercial for everybody?
  6. I mean, if you're offering I wouldn't turn down an orange slice or two. They're delicious. On the other hand I personally never cared much for trophies.
  7. Agreed. I liked the movie, but Futureman and 2028 are both going to suck.
  8. Counterpoint: Facebook actually was the best thing on the internet when only Millenials were on it. It was ruined when Zuckerberg let X'ers and Boomers join without a college email address.
  9. I just spent the past few weeks of quarantine rewatching the series. I'd put the seasons like this: Season 1, Season 3 Season 2 Season 6 . . . . . . . . . Season 5, Season 4
  10. Not mad, but I will call out, and let me get this right this time, 41-55 year olds who pretend they are different and not just as much of the problem as any other generation. #Wereallinthistogether
  11. Fair enough. Most of the time I try not to participate in generational slap fights, and I don't pretend to know where the Boomer generation ends and the X'ers begin, but this board has a weird fetish for constantly lumping millennials and boomers in the same garbage can together and I take offense to that and occasionally respond.
  12. Gen Xers? Bama Chick? I don't know. Just generalizing with the broadest brush possible here.
  13. Jesus, Gen X'ers love shitting on others while inflating their worth and pretending they haven't voted in lockstep with Boomers on every poor choice and shitty politician of the past several decades. Yeah, I'm sure a bunch of 50-somethings who fell for trickle down economics and voted for two Bushes are the ones who are going to turn the ship around and help save us all. The BOK center half full of Gen X'ers really showed us that tonight.

If these are my choices I choose racism.

I'll reserve my thoughts until after I hear which children's folk song we're ripping the next melody from.
  16. Face/Off is one of the greatest cinematic achievements in the history of America. I'll watch it anytime I catch it flipping channels, which isn't often. You have to watch it with the same spirit you go into watching something like "The Room," just embracing the absurdity and unintentional humor.
  17. Imagine being this fucking stupid.
  18. That's cute that you think you'll be around in football season. I look forward to the hot football takes of 2EM2AWesome. Hopefully you're far less annoying about football than politics.
  19. Maybe don't start threads that have no point other than to attract neg reps? Contrary to popular belief, I don't wish to see you or other opposing viewpoints banned, regardless of how stupid your viewpoints are. Yet here you are trying your hardest to get there. As others have already covered, you routinely do drive by posts and never respond when you're refuted. Have you ever once even acknowledged your most infamous post on circumstantial evidence and come back to say, "Hey, I royally fucked up and was wrong. My bad"? Of course not. You continually kill your own credibility by thinking you can just throw any shit at the wall and then not participate when it's challenged. You think dropping 20 minute Youtube videos from fucking Tim Pool or other dorks without context is a good debate strategy. You haven't even had the balls to show back up to this thread since the OP. Maybe don't compare yourself to Einstein. And don't make yourself out to be some martyr. You're just someone who doesn't debate in good faith and stomps his feet with tears in his eyes when people don't nod their heads and accept your low-level bullshit conservative media talking points. Fuck off already, and stay out of the Cloak Room if you can't handle it.
  20. Agreed. However, I'm not sure if I think Kevin knew it was B.S., but just wanted to things to be normal between them that he went along with it, or if he was just so happy to finally find her and know she's okay that he just blindly accepted her story.
  21. You have our blessing to go start your own protest.
  22. I'm also more familiar with the Southlake campus and didn't realize there was one in North Dallas. It seems like one of every two people you meet in the Southlake/Colleyville area goes to Gateway. Several years ago a girl talked me into going to a Gateway service at their newest satellite campus in North Richland Hills. The entire sermon was projected onto a screen in the front of the church, being filmed from one of the other campuses. I couldn't believe people would get dressed up to go watch church on a TV screen in public when you could do that in your gym shorts at home. Never again.
  23. The kid in me who watched and rooted for Austin growing up hopes this is real.
