  1. Again, it just amazes me seeing these posts from you, Mackelmore, and others that are cheerleading for a lower quality of life for workers. Why? What do you personally benefit from it? Do y'all also root for workers to have higher health insurance deductibles and fewer vacation days? Is it because you're on the back nine of your career/lives and you think that the younger generations shouldn't get something better that y'all didn't get the opportunity to have? Also, the idea that Elon and others suggest when they claim people working from home are "pretending to work" is kind of nonsense, too. If I wasn't working, people would figure it out pretty quick. If you can continue to not do your job and get away with it, you might not have a real job.
  2. Super weird to see some people actively rooting for corporations everywhere to force everyone back to their miserable commutes and offices. Our company already brought us back in a couple of months ago and we've already had two people quit to do basically the same thing but for companies that offered full-time remote. I've been at my company about five years and genuinely enjoy what I do, and I've been debating possibly doing the same thing if the right opportunity comes along. Even at the office, 95% of the people I communicate with daily are sitting in offices in Chicago, on the west coast, east coast, and overseas, and we communicate either by IM, email, or phone. There's very little reason for me to drive 45 minutes each way every day for something I could do just as well and efficiently in my home office. And this is just my own personal opinion and I'm obviously not speaking for anyone else, but I would personally choose to work from home even if it meant less money in the long run and the chance of being passed over for a promotion if it meant never having to come into the office again. The money and time you save, the bullshit and annoyances you avoid at the office, as well as the freedom to live anywhere you want is too great to pass up if you have the option. Money isn't everything.
  3. Oh shit, Jon and John? They're getting the band back together! Yeah, I'll probably watch this.
  4. Sure, but why you stealing your groceries without paying first?
  5. Christian Bale is still the best version. There are enough Batman movies before and after him, and his are still the best overall. I liked both his Bruce Wayne and Batman interpretations. Affleck is a great actor but the movies were shit. His acting was not the reason why. He would have been a great casting choice in better bat films. Robert Pattinson has proven to be a good actor, but this moody, barely speaks interpretation of Batman/Bruce Wayne didn't do it for me.
  6. Fucking imagine caring more about your hobby than the fact kids are routinely slaughtered by guns. Nobody in power is even saying they want to take his hobby or guns away, just make it harder for guns to fall into the wrong hands in the future. And somehow he feels threatened by that. Closing loopholes, stronger background checks, and longer waiting periods are a bridge too far because he considers it an attack on his hobby. And let's be perfectly clear, he cares way more about that than the fact that nearly two dozen kids were gunned down two days ago. I'm so sick of these radical, extremist gun nuts.
  7. Fuck age limits and universal background checks. I was for that in the past but we're way past that dozens of shootings and hundreds of dead kids ago. Let's just quit commercially selling guns in this country to citizens. Full stop. If you own a gun already, fine. You can keep it, pass it on to your kids, or whatever so long as it's not ever used in the commission of a crime. Once you do something illegal with a gun, it gets confiscated. But no new purchases going forward. If you are caught selling a gun on the black market, first degree felony, maximum sentences. Some pimple faced 18 year old incel who would shoot up a school full of kids likely won't be able to afford a black market gun.
  8. These always crack me up. Everyone over the age of 30 always thinks they were the last generation to play outside. The people who post these memes must live in neighborhoods without any kids in them.
  9. Apologies if this has been discussed here, but what happens when grandma, who forgets her Facebook password every other day and needs her kids' help getting back in, loses or forgets her private keys and wallet info? Is her money just lost out in the void forever? As far as I know, unless you keep your money on an exchange, which many advise against, there's no "click here if you forgot all your shit" link that makes using crypto very user friendly. I can see millions of people around the country flipping their shit when they can't access the wallet with their life savings in it. I like crypto as an investment and a quick way to make money, but I can't see how it can work as a default mainstream currency if money can so easily be lost.
  10. I'm not hating on it, you do you, but the original Ford Broncos were also Jeep knockoffs targeting the same demographic, FWIW. What they came out with is entirely in line with the Bronco's heritage.
  11. I think some y'all wouldn't be happy unless they took the original Bronco design and just re-released it as-is. Maybe I'm just easily pleased that it actually looks capable of driving over a rock and they didn't go the Chevy route and turn it into a soccer mom crossover like the new Blazer namesake or like Jeep has with the Cherokee.
  12. Thought it was awesome and am glad it wasn't just another paint by numbers Marvel film. I never watched Wandavision either but didn't have much trouble following. I'm sure I would have picked up on some things that went over my head had I watched it first. Sam Raimi is the man.
  13. I feel like you're implying the new Bronco is ugly, and if that's the case, I don't care much for your taste in Broncos.

2015 Poe It Up: "Look, if you think a joke of a reality TV show host is going to win the Republican nomination, I just don't think it's very healthy." 2016 Poe It Up: "I mean, sure he won the nomination and presidency, but if you think McConnell, Graham, Cruz, and others aren't going to keep him in check, you're just being fanatical! Trump will fall in line and isn't going to take over the whole party." 2020 Poe It Up: "Trump may be rough around the edges, but he'd never get away with extorting and leveraging foreign aid to Zelensky in exchange for election interference. You're just overreacting!" Also 2020 Poe it Up: "If Trump loses a free and fair election, he'll accept defeat and there will be a peaceful transfer of power as there always is. Nothing to be alarmed about, lefties!" Not sure why, but I guess I just don't trust Republicans when they say, "Sure, some people in our party are nuts and are suggesting crazy shit, but cooler heads will always prevail."
  15. Old Billy Bald Tits? Not surprised he gave him the old Right There Fred.

Do all these charts take into an account when I round up at the register at Petco and Which Which?
  17. Not sure why they're so quiet. The answer is "they don't really matter, because they aren't actually babies, and the mothers don't wish for them to develop into babies." Not sure how funny it is though or if this is the right thread for it.
  18. I didn't realize a Blaire Erskine character was running for governor of Georgia.
  19. Finished it. I probably didn't do myself any favors by waiting years in-between watching seasons 1 and 2 before starting up 3 and 4 just a month or two before this last half was dropped, but the show did not hold me or grab me in any way. I really am surprised I ended up finishing it. I don't want to say it's terrible because I probably forgot a ton of stuff from the earlier seasons but I just didn't give a shit about any of these characters. Nobody was a sympathetic character. I kind of liked Ruth but didn't like the ending they gave her.
  20. Odd Killer Mike cameo. Did that scene have any deeper meaning that I missed? Or were the showrunners just RTJ fans who found out he also liked the show and were like, "Mike, we want to get you on the show. No, we don't have any storylines in mind to add you to this late in the final season. Don't worry, we'll shoehorn you into a random scene." "....Yes, of course you'll be playing yourself."
  21. Fair enough. Fair enough. Although I'm pretty sure some of the younger teachers I had in the 1990's and 2000's were definitively Gen X, and y'all were all saying the same exact shit at the time.
  22. Regardless of where you stand on student loan bailouts, it's always fun seeing the same Boomer and Gen X parents who spent decades telling every single K-12 kid who'd listen to get a degree if they wanted to get anywhere in life, regardless of cost or what it's in, now in hindsight acting like they never pushed that advice and it's the younger generations who screwed up for actually acting on it.
  23. Donald Trump, Jr. has entered the chat.
