  1. I probably enjoyed Up in the Air the most out of these, but realize it's not best picture Oscar winning type movie.
  2. The Twitter replies are unbelievable. Trump's base just accepts whatever he does. Being friends with North Korea is good. Being friends with our western allies is bad. 40% of this country are losers with no self identity outside of their political team. Up is down, wrong is right, so long as Trump says so.
  3. I definitely didn't vote for Joe in the primary, and it had nothing to do with a sexual assault allegation because I'm pretty sure I had never heard of Tara Reade or these allegations until the past few weeks, long after Super Tuesday. I can count on my fingers the number of posters I can recall having Biden as a first choice. I just think it's humorous that the playbook Trump supporters are choosing to go at Biden with is sexual harassment and nepotism, two sins that Trump is guilty of to a far greater degree many times over. Is Joe an old womanizer without personal boundaries who probably has sexually harassed someone at some point in his life? Yeah, very likely. Is he a serial rapist and accused child molester like our current president? I doubt it. In a perfect world, these wouldn't be our two choices, but it is what it is. Anyone equating Biden's past to Trump's is lying to themselves.
  4. This was apparently my company's plan until about 5 years ago, from what I hear. No premiums, no deductibles, etc. We still have a good plan, but it's about $130 a month for medical, dental, and vision, a $250 deductible, I think it's something like a $30 copay. Can't remember what percentage of dental work it covers. It's also Cigna. Because it was all paid for until a few years back, people where I work are spoiled and complain about the costs. It's still a hell of a lot more affordable than nearly anywhere else I've worked.
  5. He did great. I imagine him getting involved went something like this: Casting director: "Hey, Matt. Look we're doing a British gangster movie and we want you to be a lead! What do you think?" MM: "That's cool. Just give my character an American backstory since I can only do this one accent. Alright, alright, alright...."
  6. The idea that somebody should be able to remember a house layout with exact detail, where exactly a house is on a map, or precisely what month something happened is a pretty high bar to set for nearly 40-year-old memories. I went to house parties in college in the early 2000's that I probably couldn't point out on a map today, nor would I be able to perfectly describe where bathrooms or studies were in relation to a living room. Add trauma to the event and the level of accuracy her doubters demanded to prove her veracity were pretty ridiculous. The fact that she was fuzzy on some of these details do not prove her to be a liar.
  7. Yep. Biden is definitely creepy and handsy around women and girls. You'd think that would sink his campaign. On the other hand, he is running against a serial rapist and child molester, so....
  8. Nothing wrong with that. We all have to watch our figures since it costs hard earned money getting our jerseys let out.
  9. Isn't Hannity rich? Why does his website look like it was created by a freshman community college student in "Intro to the Web 101" and why do I have the feeling my laptop now has AIDS?
  10. Butter and seasoning enhances all those things, but popcorn doesn't taste like cardboard without butter or salt. It's still popcorn. Grits....not so much. And I'll have you know I've certainly never been in a Waffle House sober enough to remember what I ate, so I guarantee it wasn't there.
  11. I've never cooked grits in my life. Only had them in restaurants. So unless every restaurant I've ever had them in didn't know what they were doing... And, yeah, anything will taste good when you dump a gallon of butter, salt, and pepper on it. Sorry, I'm not impressed.
  12. Sure, BIden needs to address it. It's a bad look and he needs to take responsibility. Now should it "cancel" him or end his campaign? I don't know. Have the 20+ credible women including children who have accused Trump of raping them cancelled him? Did the tape of Trump admitting he likes raping women cancel him? Did the porn star he paid off during the first campaign cancel him? Can you link one single post where you acted concerned at all about allegations against Trump being a rapist? Or is this all disingenuous bullshit on your part? Like you said, buncha hypocrites up in this mfer. All fingers pointed directly at you.
  13. People who have long ass email signatures at work that take up half a screen. Graphics, social media links, etc....nobody cares or is reading all that. Put down your name, your title, and contact information in whatever font you type in and get the fuck on with it. It shouldn't take up more than a few lines.
  14. Close. You must have missed that grits was on there....nature's soggy, flavorless, breakfast mystery slop.
  15. Michael Crichton is rolling over in his grave.
  16. I can't put my finger on it, but she didn't really do it for me in Old School. Agree that she's smoke in Happy Endings. She looked great in "Girl Next Door" too. And it's not exactly like she's out of her prime. She's not even 40 yet.
  17. Hey now, look, I hate Trump as much as the next guy but you're seriously comparing him to a guy who is in prison for CHILD pornography! Talk about TDS! Trump may be pretty bad, but has he...oh wait...hold on..*checking notes*...oh, he has been accused of having sex with a minor as a middle aged man. Nevermind, carry on. He's literally the worst piece of shit imaginable for a president.
  18. Tom

    Dan Crenshaw

He calls people "commies." He's a petulant mush brained boomer.
  19. It's a good retort against Tucker Carlson's bullshit and total hypocrisy, but it will never be seen or read by the millions of people who watch his program. Tucker's viewpoint will be the only one millions of morons, including our own Iconoclast, will absorb. If we don't figure out a way to take back all houses of government and restore something resembling the fairness doctrine, this country will continue its downward slide. The rest of the media should be pounding out stories of conservative media's lies and hypocrisy daily on every channel, newspaper, and website until it's too overwhelming to ignore. Unfortunately, other than throwing some rocks occasionally the media treats Fox like an equal colleague.
  20. If only I cared that much on a website I average roughly 2 posts a day on. I apologize for even participating in this thread. I broke my own rule of keeping it to the cloak room, even if this is a cloak room thread. All you Daily Texan folks stay safe and God bless.
  21. Hey look, it's that guy who claims to not be a cloak roomer even though he probably has more posts than I do in there.
  22. We're not in the Daily Texan. This thread might as well be in the cloak room judging by the four pages I've read before this. I feel okay with insulting you here.
  23. Calm down, buddy. I've made exactly zero posts in the Daily Texan thread and have never even been tempted to make political posts in there. I respect that the Daily Texan is politics free, unless of course you're making snide remarks against the left and post a "no CR" disclaimer with a wink after your politically biased post, so I stay out of it. You people who cry 24/7 about the cloak room and its posters should pull a Slorch/Iconoclast and ban yourselves from it for your own sanity.
