  1. So what you're saying is you don't support us going to the SEC at all? Because we would be laughed out of the room if we approached the SEC with any demands at all. The only way we end up in the SEC is if the Big 12 is imploding and we have no other options.
  2. 5 new Big 12 schools above means at least a PAC 17 or a PAC school getting the boot. Not going to happen. Realignment blows. The SEC and B1G are too big and the Big 12 is too small, both by number of schools and population. There's no good way to fix it unless you can somehow convince a few decent schools from another P5 to switch over. This starts with getting rid of the LHN for a conference network, acting more unified, and doing things the way more attractive conferences do.
  3. Even the article linked mentions that his scene was cut in 2014 along with other scenes for run time. Still didn't stop Andy Ngo from posting the tweet and specifically using the word "censored" for manufactured outrage. I fully expect a thread from Parliament or EMAW soon lamenting how Canada is censoring our president's movie cameos because liberal broadcasters are triggered with TDS.
  4. Brexit hasn't even fucking happened yet. How it will affect England, the UK, and the EU is still unknown. Trump's tax cuts have sent us back to recession level deficits and we've exhausted the tools we'll need when the economy eventually stalls to give the rich tax breaks. This shit will come to a head. The trade war had an extremely negative effect on farmers to the point that we've bailed them out to avoid bankruptcy, and our trade deficit is larger than ever and still growing. That's just touching on your points and not even getting into him fracturing our alliances, our respect and influence on the world stage, or his cruelty-first immigration policies. People who don't have their heads up their asses notice these things and lose trust in people like you who are dumb enough to think he's better than the alternatives.
  5. Damn good show and perfect timing to get into it since season 2 drops tomorrow.
  6. It's weird since he's usually so adept to lying on the spot. He could have just been like "I bought her a Pelaton, a great beautiful Pelaton. She's going to ride it every day and vlog about it. Nobody knows more about cycle vlogging than me."
  7. Yeah I tend to not like musicals in general, but can at least recognize their merit even if they're not for me. This was just bad. I turned it on during the one song where Ralphie was imagining saving teacher Jenna Maroney in the classroom and couldn't change the channel fast enough. This was my favorite Christmas movie growing up and I couldn't make it through more than one song.
  8. Not only is there no humor or comic relief even attempted in this post, it was posted 5 posts above yours by someone else. Negged.
  9. Yes, I am a dumbass, thank you. I forgot my sound was still linked to my bluetooth headphones across the room. Couldn't hear shit.
  10. I don't get it. Should I know who anyone in the video is or what's happening? Would it be a better use of my time to go yell at some clouds?
  11. Y'all think you're so much smarter than the president. He's banning embroidery until the age of 21, you dense fucks. Sewing needles are dangerous. #KAG2020.
  12. That was the probably Chrispy. This is Chrispy_. A month from now you'll be wondering how you're seeing Chrispy____'s posts.
  13. I thought overall it was pretty great, but something bugs me about how it all wrapped up. I can't wrap my head around one thing. So Dr. Manhattan can't change the future he sees since he experiences all time at once. Meaning he can't say, "This ends in tragedy in 10 years, I need to be sure to not stand in front of the cannon across the street" because for him it's happening at the same time as any other moment in his life. I think I get that much. Why not when he was at the bar with Angela, or at dinner, or in bed fighting, or at any point did he not say, "Hey, here's HOW it ends in tragedy. It's 10 years from now, and the 7K are waiting outside of our house to kill you and trap me on _____ 2019 at 8:32 p.m. Take preventative measures." He went out of his way setting up Will Reeves to take care of the kids in the theater that night, but had to leave everything a mystery to Angela for some reason? I get that would kill the entire storyline of the show, but it just seems like a huge plot hole to me. In the book/movie he made a point to Adrian that [paraphrasing] "even the smartest man in the world is no more a risk to me than a cockroach." That didn't seem at all the case in this show. He just seemed willing to let whatever happens happen. Am I missing something obvious here?
  14. Okay, Mr. President. Praying that the Senate will turn their loyalties from a cult leader towards the nation, find wherever Trump has hidden their balls, and convict.
  15. So the largest economy in the U.S. and one of the largest in the world? Say, by the way, how is Tim Pool's search for a mommy/lover coming?
  16. If it's cool with everyone else, I'm going to wait to see if Biden maintains and wins the nomination and be stuck with him before I start trying to rationalize to myself why it doesn't completely suck.
  17. Best ones have already been posted, I think, but this was a funny scene from a pretty good movie.
  18. How many of the 400 bills passed by the House has the Senate voted on?
  19. Ha, I didn't recognize him. He looked just different enough to me and older that I thought he was some kid cast to play a Finn Wolfhard-type. So he has to be officially typecast as the 1980's nostalgia/supernatural kid, right?
  20. Ugh...was Finn Wolfhard not available? Love Paul Rudd as a comedic actor but a kid-focused cast was about the least appealing way they could go to spark my interest. Is this the formula now for anything 1980's related going forward? I'll give it a chance based on Jason Reitman's resume of great movies like Up In the Air and Young Adult, but nothing about the trailer excites me.
  21. 2014 TCU/Baylor both 1-loss conference champions left out for another 1-loss conference champion. 2016 Penn State Big 10 champions left out for their own conference's runner up 2017 Big 10 champion left out for SEC team that didn't even play in their conference championship. 2018 One-loss Big 10 champion left out over one-loss Big 12 champion. The CFB playoff selection is a beauty contest whose rules change every year on the whims of the selection committee in the name of ratings. It worked out this year and 2015 without controversy. In every other season since the playoffs began in 2014 there's been some type of controversy. Banning schools who didn't win their conference from the playoffs would be good start. Until there are enough spots for every P5 champion, there aren't enough spots. 16 is arguably too many. 4 is not enough. 8 is likely the sweet spot.
  22. I feel like you aren't giving my alcohol consumption enough credit.
  23. Sure, Rand. I can't believe everyone didn't think of that. People should just mortgage their future savings for when they're too old to work to pay off their ridiculously overpriced school loans. They should just use those 401K's they don't have or pay into because they've been crushed by school loan debt their entire adult lives. How fucking out of touch can one be?
