  1. I apologize. I didn't listen to @hobbes2702 and allowed you to move the goalposts. We're not in the Donald Trump thread. We're in the Robert Mueller investigation thread, and that investigation did not exonerate Donald Trump to anyone that read the report. So please ignore my previous response.
  2. Real answer: My blood pressure has spiked about 15 to 20 points. But I'm a middle class straight white male whose ancestors have been on this continent since before it was an independent country. Most of Trump's bullshit doesn't affect me. Long term problems with Trump: * His economic accomplishments are built entirely on debt. We're running Obama level deficits, yet unlike then we're not in the midst of a recession. When the economy eventually stalls again as it always does, there will be nothing in the tank. * We're a joke to the world. Not a single decent world leader respects Trump. None. American hegemony over the western world has weakened under Trump's watch and most of our allies no longer trust us. Putin and Kim Jong Un respect Trump more than Macron or Trudeau. * We're paying welfare to farmers for a needless trade war built entirely on Trump's ego. * He's challenging executive authority at an unprecedented rate. His policy is basically "let's just do it, challenge the courts, and see what they come back with." * He actively embraces every anti-environmental policy he can support. This doesn't affect me, but my grandchildren. Sorry if you don't believe in climate change. Every person who is qualified disagrees. * He fills every federal agency position with sycophants, donors, and people who aren't qualified for the job, completely undermining the federal government. * He spends most of his time watching cable news, tweeting, or golfing, meaning he's ignoring his responsibilities he was elected for. This may or may not be a good thing. I haven't decided yet.
  3. I think Jimmyjazz has gone to bed, but it's still "you're." And of course you will. You will take Bill Barr, the guy who defended Republicans funding terrorists through drug traffickers, as well as Trump who allows and embraces Russian interference into American democratic elections while trusting their intelligence over our own. This difference is I will actually admit that Obama was flawed as a president and made mistakes. The difference between Obama's mistakes and Trump's is that Obama's mistakes actually had good intentions whereas Trump's motivations are completely self-serving and have further reaching consequences down the line. Trump, himself, hired Bolton and Pompeo. How many thousands of needless American deaths do you think they're responsible for compared to Fast and Furious?
  4. So what you're saying is that you basically don't believe in presidencies. You believe in Kings. Nevermind silly things like checks and balances. It's amazing Bill Clinton was ever impeached. Nobody told him all he had to do was fire everyone ever investigating him. You're putting your trust in Bill Barr, the guy who assisted in pardoning the criminals behind Iran-Contra and auditioned for his job for AG by writing a memo basically saying the POTUS is beyond reproach. I hope you enjoy the precedent your ilk is setting when it comes back to bite you in your myopic asses.
  5. See, now this is what I'm talking about. 2019 Republicans: No obstruction and no collusion. Move on, it's over! Also 2019 Republicans after several investigations of Hillary Clinton: Lock her up! Lock her up! Lock her up!
  6. I would love it if people could start referring to TTomTeriffic as "TTom" or "TTTF" or "TerrificallyTom." I get that he's more prolific and has been on this board longer than me, but calling him "Tom" gives me brief PTSD that I'm as stupid as his dumb fucking takes about everything.
  7. Just watched for the second time and I can't believe how many people are defending the darkness of this episode. I don't care if it's cheaper to film. We were told the long wait and shortened season was going to lead to movie quality episodes. If I paid $12 to sit in a theater and was only able to see half of what was happening I'd ask for a refund. And give me a break on blaming it on the quality of TVs. Episode was great, at least the 30 minutes of it I was able to see.
  8. Now, that's not fair. They'll begin caring about it again in 2021.
  9. Kristen Stewart was great at playing Jodie Foster's son in Panic Room. Honestly I don't really have a problem with either actress. Brie Larson was fine in Captain Marvel. She was not what plagued the film. Writing and corny CGI scenes stopped it from being a top tier Marvel movie.
  10. Warren, who helped create the CPFB and the candidate with the most specific policy proposals for taking on the corporate culture in this country was probably the worst example you could have used, but you do you.
  11. The DNC is the only party that gives a shit about things like the environment, health care, and education. They are the only party not working to sabatoge the government from functioning from the inside. I don't really care if they personally don't care about little old unimportant me. The DNC sucks and gets a lot of things wrong, but their policies tend to show they care more than anyone else.
  12. I got my first cell phone at around 20-years-old. I'd say probably before that.
  13. Oh, good...the president has discovered OANN -- the low budget Fox News that makes Fox News look somewhat rational.
  14. That's strange, because I've never voted for Trump. I voted Sanders in the primary and Clinton in the general. I'd even go as far as saying that I had absolutely nothing to do with Trump being president.
  15. Yeah, feel free to go fuck yourself and every other GOP'er who wants to blame Trump's presidency on Democrats. We didn't choose him over 15 other Republican candidates. We didn't choose him in the general election. Go drink some coffee, sober up, and realize that your stupid, made up conspiracies on Obama using the IRS as a weapon was just a stupid myth created by people who couldn't fucking handle someone black and Democrat being president. No different than the birther nonsense. I honestly haven't been keeping track but I believe Trump is now in third place behind Nixon and Reagan as having the biggest piece of shit criminal administrations to ever serve this country. That number will probably grow, but congrats on the accomplishment so far. You must be proud.
  16. Totally normal behavior from a president: White House proposed releasing immigrant detainees in sanctuary cities, targeting political foes
  17. Apparently Pat Green skips leg day.
  18. A man who unironically wore a bow tie well into his late 30's while sporting the Ole Miss frat boy haircut certainly shouldn't be questioning the masculinity of anyone else.
  19. Did Trump really just say "only take from the USA." Does the president of the United States still not know that Puerto Ricans are US Citizens?
  20. You misunderstood. What Dolemite was getting at is only Democrats can be impeached for crimes.
  21. I know it's hard for conservatives to understand how inclusion works, but it's very legal and very cool for white guys to still run as Democrats along with anyone else from any gender or race so long as you bring good ideas. We nominated a straight white guy as recently as 2004. Remind me again the last time a Republican nominee wasn't an old privileged white guy.

    Beto 2020

I guess I just don't see the significance. I'm a Warren and Mayor Pete guy, so I don't really have a dog in the fight. But there's a significant Hispanic presence in every large Texas city. El Paso, regardless of him being from there, is a border city. I just don't see how Beto not going to San Antonio is a slight against Hispanics. This isn't the Texas Senate race and he's not going to be able to visit everywhere there are people.

    Beto 2020

I know when I think of white upper middle class cities with no Hispanic presence, I think of El Paso. Seriously?
  24. You're probably safe, bud. I seriously doubt Facebook or Google are looking to buy out a scentsy distributor.
