  1. Wish I would have known about the CFB RSVP site earlier in the season. Will definitely be something to keep an eye on in the future. The $1,440 for a Texas lower level RSVP now puts the total cost including face at $2,190. Not a ton of potential savings on the bone at that point given the risk. You'd be better off just betting the $2190 on Texas Moneyline and either be down $2190 if they lose or have $3400 to spend on a better seat after factoring in winnings if TX wins. Buying any Texas RSVP at these prices is basically just gambling in another form.
  2. Pretty amusing that somewhere a large sect of Aggies who are watching this are thinking “Thank god we got Elko instead”
  3. SMU trying very hard to submarine a ton of potential points..
  4. That makes sense. I can only imagine the fuckery around payment processing and micro transactions that occurs around the country with this stuff. Appreciate the insight.
  5. I think that a one time TOF 50/50 raffle could be a great way to rake in a quick influx in cash to pad the coffers while also reaching a broader audience of casual fans who may not be aware of the NIL efforts beyond the "Arch Manning makes 2.8 milly" type of tweets. I know of another non profit in Texas who ran something similar and had pretty surprising results. Although I'm sure the idea of mixing anything remotely related to gambling and NIL fundraising efforts would get shut down super quickly. So assuming that would be a no go, has any thoughts been given to a silent auction type of event to raise for TOF? I'm sure that with the vast variety of professionals and resources on this site and offline it wouldn't be hard to get an attractive package of tickets, services and memorabilia to bid on. It may be easier to draw in large business to donate services, tickets, etc as well rather than straight NIL $ and could be a good way of starting to break into those communities. I'm sure all of this has been gone over somewhere ad nauseam. Appreciate all of the efforts, donate currently to BE and TOF but will be increasing both after seeing the results on and off the field. It's insanely impressive what has been built in a short period of time. I've got some insight into the Country Roads Trust at WVU and outside of a big initial surge from Ken Kendrick (owner of the Arizona Diamondbacks) and some of his buddies, they are struggling mightily to attract donors at every level.
  6. Morgantown was a fun road trip. Have yet to meet anyone who went who didn’t have a blast. That being said, they can rot in the Big 12 and won’t miss playing them a single iota.
  7. I’m also assuming that no matter where you sit at NRG outside of dedicated rose bowl champ sections (which these tickets aren’t in) that you’ll be by enough Texas fans.
  8. You may as well buy a Bama and a Michigan at those prices. You still get a ticket if Texas makes it and if they don’t you can still try and recoup some of your money by selling to a Michigan or Bama fan.
  9. If those tickets aren’t being distributed until Jan 5 this may be even more of a bloodbath than anticipated.
  10. What a bizarre sequence of plays. This is why bowl season is fantastic.
  11. How can they spend longer reviewing this one than the last one?
  12. Pete Carroll will be in Seattle longer than Deboer. I can understand why this is upsetting, but this is what happens when you root for a mid tier program and employ a commodity. One year of playing teams with real resources in the Big Ten and he’ll see the glass ceiling the same way Sark did.
  13. Anyone have an idea when Texans STH and Corporate tickets start to go out? I would imagine sometime around Christmas the local inventory starts to hit the market.
  14. I think that characterizing the Texas D line as simple brute strength is a pretty drastic oversimplification of how they get pressure. I would be thrilled if Washington tried to out scheme and force a running game on this D line as it will take the ball out of the hands of the guys you have who can actually do damage and tilt the game.
  15. Texas has faced 2 of the top 3 backs in the country and 4 of the top 15 and held all four under 100 yards. I really would be shocked if Washington is able to run the ball the way that Husky fans claim is going to happen. If Johnson busts a 60 yarder off a broken play, it may be possible but otherwise Washington is going to have to do its damage through the air.
  16. Texas- 38 Washington- 20 Penix is 21-38 for 280 and 1 TD and 1 INT.
  17. If you hold Texas to 17 in the first half you should consider it a win.
  18. Yormark’s top crew seems to be in Buffalo.
  19. The average IQ on that HH board has got to be room temperature judging by some of the takes. I stopped lurking after reading that Worthy would be WR4 at best on that team and that AD Mitchell wouldn’t play for them.
  20. Yep, sorry just used the same info from last year.
  21. It’s wild, they have futures for Super Bowl tickets and pretty much every other major sporting event. I would love to see what happens if Texas makes it and they have to cover all of these face value tickets at way over cost.
  22. Right now those options are at 640 for a face value ticket at $600 putting the total outlay at 1240 for a UT MNC ticket. If you were to buy today, cheapest ticket after fees on secondary market is a bit over 1900. Not hard for me to see a world in which after fees are taken out an Alabama/Washington matchup nets a seller less than 2X face value.
  23. Jake threw thirteen passes at Washington as a true freshman over 3 games before transferring. In what world is that sucking? At least try to come up with a better fake narrative.
  24. The answer is OU without a close second.
