  1. lmao Özil is literally still on the books and Wilshere could be had for peanuts. And take it from a Liverpool fan, selling Ox for £35M or whatever was maybe the best business Arsenal has done in the last decade. As for opposing fans making fun of Arsenal's woes, it's probably in reaction to the pundits and Arsenal fans who proclaimed Arteta the second coming after a few decent results post-COVID break. The attack has been utterly abysmal:
  2. The entire GOP platform is literally "to own the libs" and now you're claiming you want to bring the country together. Cool.
  3. Naby is fucking snakebit. He was looking really fucking good.
  4. My god those training tops. Just hideous.
  5. The left came out for Biden. I voted for him because I voted for the enemy I wanted. I'm tired of playing defense and am looking forward to playing offense, especially when it comes to racial justice and climate. Centrists can bitch all they want about unfair demands and being too critical of someone who's, admittedly, a lot better than Trump but we are going to hold his feet to the fire and expect him to be more than a corporate shill. Biden has said some good things re: climate but he's got a long way to go and this Richmond dude seems like he sucks: Link: The Congressman Biden Tapped to Liaise With Climate Activists Has Received $340,000 in Fossil Fuel Money
  6. So assuming the worst (i.e Robbo, Hendo, Salah, Thiago, Fabinho, and Ox all out, plus the long-term injuries), how the hell do we line up? ----------------------Alisson Neco ----Rhys Williams ----Matip ---- Tsimikas Wijnaldum ---- Naby ---- Curtis Jota ------ Firmino ----- Mané Suppose we could see Minamino or Shaq in there, but I'd like to keep Shaq as the option to come off the bench for Curtis or Naby. No way does Nat Phillips get the assignment vs Vardy. Buck has to be licking his chops at the thought of playing against a back line featuring exactly zero first-team outfielders.
  7. Ah yes, Amy Klobuchar, hero of the left.
  8. I don't disagree that there's a decent chance of some isolated instances of post-election violence by the far right. Trump is absolutely fanning those flames and I'd be shocked if he wasn't hoping for his cultists to commit violence on his behalf. But ain't no way the cowardice piece of shit will put up any sort of fight on his way out the door. He's a diaper-filling little bitch who just wants to burn the place down and then run away to Mar-a-Lago. Or shit, any country without an extradition treaty.
  9. Biden’s Education Department Will Move Fast to Reverse Betsy DeVos’s Policies I feel like (hope?) that education will be one of the areas that Biden will be able to implement some quick fixes. Wiping out student debt right now would really help a lot of people out during this pandemic. They'd immediately put that money right back into the economy.
  10. Our pets' heads are falling off dot gif
  11. Your relative sounds like a fucking idiot.
  12. Matip hasn't played two consecutive games in 14 months. I knew his record was bad but jfc that's atrocious. Not really sure where we go from here. Even the best case scenario means losing Fabinho from the midfield for the entirety of the season, which would be devastating in and of itself. Rhys Williams is the most obvious choice to step up as our #2 CB but it's asking an awful lot from a 19-year old to play the majority of our remaining games. Sepp van den Berg looks full of mistakes and was already behind the others in the pecking order. Nat Phillips looked good against Moyesball but the idea of him facing Jamie Vardy gives me nightmares. We were already going to be in the market for a CB in January but now we basically need two, and we're gonna be held over the barrel given our desperation. Trust in Edwards and all, but damn. This is a tall order for even the deepest of squads.
  13. Jomez needs to retire from international duty. Fuck me.
  14. You're probably right but we also have Neco. He's hit a bit of a rough patch of late but he's shown well in the past and replaces at least a little of what TAA provides in terms of a threat going forward. Milner has a higher floor / lower ceiling and I would imagine that he'll get the start against Leicester, but maybe Neco gets the CL games, since we're just about home and dry?
  15. While I think it's important that a woman replaces Harris, I would also love to see Ro Khanna in the senate. He is awesome.
  16. Agreed on Porter, plus she reps a traditionally beet-red district and I think they lose that seat if she goes to the Senate. And I agree that it's best to start using "Latinas" universally when referring to groups of people from Latin America.
  17. I know that's also the case in Michigan and Pennsylvania. GOP state legislatures, under a gerrymandered stranglehold, prevent election officials from doing this because they know chaos narrative behooves them.
  18. Yeah, he's fine. It was just a clear foul in the box, nothing more. Thanks for checking in.
