  1. I don't prefer Trump over (basically) anyone, but I also don't believe that a centrist can win, nor do I want to compromise my beliefs for a candidate that is being championed by a bunch of libs and #neverTrump'ers who were dead wrong about 2016. The establishment needs to go. There will be no progress with candidates like Klobuchar (who believes nothing is achievable) and Buttigieg (who doesn't believe in anything). For every Republican who claims they'd happily vote for a moderate Dem there's an 18-year old who wants to vote for a brighter future. I will concede that it's a risk nominating someone who wants real change, but I find it hard to believe that Bernie is somehow more of a risk than it was nominating a black man named Barack Hussein Obama.
  2. Would President Bloomberg nominating the judge of your choice offset his responsibility in getting Brett Kavanaugh confirmed?
  3. Not that I put much faith in polling, but I think it's pretty clear that those who are not extremely online/politically tapped in were just going off name recognition and "electability". Those that saw Biden in person (especially vis-a-vis the other candidates) were not inspired and voted that way. Now the wheels are falling off the wagon.
  4. JFC it was Algeria. We got our asses handed to us by Jan Koller and the Czechs in 2006.
  5. Mike Bloomberg: "I've never been in favor of raising the minimum wage."
  6. Good Lord is Chris Matthews a worthless piece of shit. It is utterly insane the smoke MSNBC is blowing up our collective ass about Amy Klobuchar. She took 5th and 3rd in IA and NH, respectively. JFC.
  7. A super rich businessman from NYC with a questionable past re: sexual harassment and racist policies is the perfect foil for a pseudo-rich pseudo-businessman with a history of sexual assault and racist policies.
  8. I'll wait until we have a sample size larger than one. I also think getting traditional non-voters out to vote is a much easier sell in the general election, rather than in an early primary. Getting that same demographic out to the long, tedious caucus is exponentially more difficult.
  9. Turnout among Bernie's biggest demographic – voters under 30 years old – was very impressive.
  10. Don't sign Mbappe because we need to play Origi. Makes sense tbh.
  11. It's true. 2016 was a cakewalk for Bernie.
  12. Same. Father-in-law voted for Trump in the primary thinking he'd be cannon fodder in the general. Whoops. Now I'm working on getting him to vote Bernie in this year's primary. He was leaning Biden then Bloomberg, both due to their "electability". Ok, boomer.
  13. @SydneyCarton Bloomberg is more competent than Uncle Joe but plagued with many of the same problems, and with half the charisma. And he will do horribly with people of color, having been a staunch advocate of the racist, horrifically inefficient Stop & Frisk practice. He's a billionaire from NYC who owns a media empire and made his money on Wall Street. What key battleground states is he going to win? Wisconsin? Michigan? Pennsylvania? He's also trying to verbally spar with Trump, which is a terrible idea because he's nowhere near as crass or crazy. (Though they do seem to have in the common the utter incapacity to act like a human being.) Bloomberg sucks. He should've wasted his billions primarying Trump for the Republican nomination instead.
  14. Biden's speech was about as uninspiring as, well, everything else in his campaign so far. And the sternly-worded letter to the Iowa DNC questioning the quality control makes me think it's gonna be real bad for Uncle Joe.
  15. Billionaire Chris Matthews tears
  16. Fixed. On the other hand, winning the league against Bournemouth on March 7 (the earliest date we could win the league) would mean winning it at Anfield and then getting a guard of honor at Goodison, which would really be the best of both worlds.
  17. The cut of your jib. I like it.
  18. I know that this has more to do with the primary but thinking about Trump trying to use this in the general has me laughing my ass off.
  19. Hopefully Bloomberg first and then Tom "Bernie Bro" Steyer.
