  1. I mean fuck that guy forever but he was also endlessly entertaining. Interested to see when he endorses Trump after Bernie gets the nomination.
  2. Virgil just makes everything look so easy. He is the best defender I've ever seen play.
  3. Victor Moses is off to Inter on loan in case anyone was wondering where Victor Moses was going to be loaned to next.
  4. The GOP is going to do what they always do. Bernie can lean in to their bullshit, whereas the other candidates can't or won't.
  5. She probably supports both Warren AND Klobuchar.
  6. Alisson has the highest clean sheet percentage (46%) and the highest save percentage (83.9%) of any keeper in the PL.
  7. So crazy that he's never scored at Anfield, registering just two shots on goal (ten shots in total).
  8. Watford ain't getting relegated. Pearson's led a remarkable turnaround, with 13 of their 22 points coming in his 6 matches in charge (and one of those was against Liverpool). Burnley look lifeless and I wouldn't be shocked to see them go down, along with Norwich and Bournemouth.
  9. It bears repeating – how much good could these guys do if they spent money on grassroots democracy efforts instead of their stupid fucking vanity run at POTUS?
  10. Clyne was always a very good defender at RB. He was never great (or even good) going forward. He was basically Steve Finnan and for awhile he was a stalwart in our first XI.
  11. I expect a healthy dose of Eric Dier kicking at our ankles. Watch Mou start Wanyama for the same reason.
  12. Brutal. Wesley hasn't been great but he's shown a few flashes. Now they're linked with 36-year old Glenn Murray, (and Batshuayi and Olivier Giroud) which honestly wouldn't be a bad move. He knows how to score in the PL.
  13. "There are two teams on Merseyside; Liverpool and Liverpool reserves." –Bill Shankley
  14. lol Martin Tyler just mentioned how Bernard could feature in this game, and having played in Brazil's 7-1 loss against Germany, "knows a thing or two about humiliation".
  15. Curtis Jones is pretty frustrating. Decent player but he always seems like he's trying too hard to prove he belongs on the field.
  16. So there's no way Minamino doesn't start this one, right? And I wouldn't want to be the one to tell Virgil that he's not playing, so he and Gomez will likely be the center back pairing. Harvey Elliott is likely to get the start and I'd be all in favor of Neco Williams playing the full 90. He was impressive against Arsenal in the League Cup match. I don't like the idea of playing a weakened side for an FA Cup match against the Ev, especially with the Anfield winning streak on the line, but we could basically field a starting XI of injured players at the moment.
  17. I'm confused – Yang is absolutely not the best candidate re: climate change.
  18. I said he doesn't present as queer, i.e non-normative. And that's not something to be upset with him about, but it doesn't mean the LGBT community is going to automatically embrace him due to his sexuality. And I agree that a lot of the resentment likely has to do with privilege, in combination with his policy.
  19. My queer friends don't see Pete as anything but a white, cisgender man who's never presented as queer, therefore they don't see him as an ally. That's not to say he hasn't had a harder life than many, given the hardship of internally struggling with one's sexuality – especially as someone whose image must be cultivated in order to achieve his ambitions of reaching elected office – but he's spent the majority of his life basically doing his best not to have his sexuality noticed. On top of that, his policies are Republican-lite and he's hardly been a champion for the oppressed. That's not going to get you support from the left.
