  1. Nailed it. I gave money to his campaign very shortly after he announced. Now I absolutely loathe the guy.
  2. M4AWWIAAAC (Medicare For All Who Want It And Are Also Citizens)
  3. Putting aside the serious issues with means testing, I'm curious how the practicality of this $100K threshold would work – does it adjust every year for inflation? Is it based purely on taxable income? If Jeff Bezos had a kid, would they qualify for tuition-free college under Buttigieg's plan, as his salary was $81,840 in 2019?
  4. So let me get this straight – De Ligt wins the Kopa (best young player), beating out Mbappe, who doesn't place in the top 3; De Ligt finishes in 15th in the Ballon d'Or while Mbappe finishes 6th.
  5. More talk of Emery getting the pink slip – Unai Emery on Brink of Arsenal Sack as Club Hierarchy Seek Replacements
  6. Crazy how much we miss Trent when he's not playing. No other RB in the world does what he does.
  7. This thread I'm contributing to is monumentally stupid!
  8. Releasing 11 years worth of tax returns vs. fighting tooth & nail and taking the case to the Supreme Court to prevent the release of the dipshit's tax returns.
  9. Through 13 matches Liverpool have 2 more points than Arsenal & Man U combined is that good?
  10. I love the fact that Ron Johnson was also in the middle of all of this.
  11. The last few months notwithstanding, Poch's Spurs were fun to watch. Almost feel bad that they'll have to suffer through Portuguese Sam Allardyce's brand of boring-ass football.
  12. The idea of Mourinho working with Levy is hilarious.
  13. No way we sign Fraser. He's a nice player for a club like Bournemouth but is no better than Shaqiri. Not even sure he's better than Harry Wilson tbh.
  14. Going into the international break up 9 points on City, in fucking November. Unreal. Then I remember that we were up 10 points at Christmas last year and tap the brakes a bit. This year feels different but City is not going to give up.
  15. Southampton sold their players. They weren't taken from them – they were sold. Before Liverpool bought a bunch of them, you sold Gareth Bale to Tottenham, Theo Walcott to Arsenal, and Oxlade-Chamberlain to Arsenal. Recently you sold Luke Shaw to Man U. They were all sold for vast sums of money. Your "poor Soton" shtick is tired as hell and pointless.
  16. Keita makes way for Robbo. He had a great first half but was quiet in the second.
  17. A couple of lucky bounces but Gini finished that perfectly.
  18. Wonder if we're playing a diamond instead of a 4-3-3? Would be interesting. -----Fabinho Ox ----------Wijnaldum -----Keita Nice to see Mané, Firmino, and Robbo get a rest.
  19. Leicester hired Brendan Rodgers last year in February, while Celtic were 8 points clear at the top of the SPL table, but it's definitely not common. Can't really think of another example tbh. I think Arsenal's best bet would be to fire Emery and bring on Arteta, who lots of Gooners wanted originally. He's currently an assistant at City so he'd have to be willing to leave them midseason, but that's a lot different than leaving a head coaching gig.
