  1. For anyone else who might've thought this was a joke, it's not. Watford is a homeless man's Chelsea with the way they hire/fire/rehire/fire/hire managers. Merciful Christ.
  2. Absolutely. Was just a little bit dusty in my house when I heard tell the story of her aunt, who called her and offered to move in to help w/ the kids so that Liz could simply work as a teacher.
  3. Don't invade Russia in the winter and definitely don't try to own AOC on social media.
  4. Salzburg is managed by Jesse Marsch, which is pretty cool. They, like all RB clubs, scout young, unproven talent extremely well. (They were the club that Sadio Mané played for when he burst onto the scene.) But they're still a club from Austria, so it should be a relative cakewalk. Salzburg is a gorgeous city though, so at least the traveling fans will have that going for them. Genk is basically the Belgian version of RB Salzburg. Tons of talent has emerged from their club (N'Didi, Leon Bailey, S M-S), but again, it should be an easy fixture. And yes, getting out of the group is the most important thing, and that should be a given with this group. But there's not an interesting game in the bunch, at least on paper. Napoli will be a nightmare for traveling fans not looking to get into a knife fight.
  5. I dunno. Would be pretty fun to smash Real Madrid in the group stage. Hardest pot would probably be Dortmund, Lyon, Red Star Belgrade. Never a fun trip to Serbia.
  6. Clint Dempsey's Tottenham career is about as storied as Joe Montana's KC Chiefs career.
  7. Hickenlooper is a centrist toad but obviously a D win would be great. He's also got a damn fine campaign logo:
  8. Match against Arsenal will be a top of the table clash. Nice.
  9. Pedro's been lively for Chelsea. Looked like he forced a great save from Adrian but I think he blazed it just high.
  10. I don't recall ever giving a shit about the Super Cup before today, but now that we're in it, I definitely want to win. Especially because it's fucking Chelsea.
  11. Feeling more and more like Beto is going to be the VP on Warren's ticket. Which would fucking rule.
  12. Unchanged XI from the Community Shield. Alisson TAA – Gomez – VVD – Robbo Hendo – Fabinho – Wijn Salah – Firmino – Origi
  13. Predictions for this season? 95 points, 2nd place, FA Cup champions, CL-semifinalists. Salah will be our top scorer but Firmino will be our most important attacking player. Keita will break out and become a fixture in our first XI and on the PFA team of the year. Rhian Brewster will play 1,000-1,200 minutes in the league. Harvey Elliott will get a handful of sub appearances. Shaqiri will score 10 and assist 10 as he is rotated in more regularly with the front three.
  14. I must've been drunk when I took you off ignore.
  15. Goddamn she lays things out so well and so clearly. It's like she was a badass teacher or something.
  16. Yup...they never won anything before...oh thats right they're #4 in english titles The Ev's last trophy was the FA Cup in 1995. That's like saying Aston Villa bought a bunch of players because they want to make it back to the top. ("Hey, they won the European Cup in 1982!")
  17. Seeing reports that Alex Iwobi is off to the Ev for £40M. Is that the same Alex Iwobi who scored 3 goals last season?
  18. Absolutely. And have you seen the amount of people killed each year by cars? Need to ban those fucking things too.
  19. Good move for all parties, I think. I want to see what Wilson can do, but considering he didn't even make the bench for a rather meaningless match, when Mané was out, you'd be hard-pressed to see him get much time for Liverpool this year. WIth David Brooks out for 3+ months, he should get ample opportunity at Bournemouth, assuming he can beat out Jordon Ibe and Dom Solanke. *rim shot*
  20. Liverpool's Harry Wilson moves to Bournemouth on season-long loan. Surprised they didn't pay us £60M tbh.
