  1. According to Vic during yesterday's post-game interview, Phelia was hit in the jaw during practice Tuesday so they kept her out of the game as a precaution. She should be good to go during their Thanksgiving tournament.
  2. Conventional thinking says Kansas is the favorite. Hopefully not.
  3. All three freshmen looked good. That’s refreshing.
  4. No. 5 ranked recruit Aaliyah Crump has signed with Texas. https://x.com/TexasWBB/status/1856728861674807432
  5. Please Coach Elliott pick and stick with Swindle. You won’t be sorry.
  6. Jordan is more of a 2 or a 3 than a point guard. Maybe you're thinking of Bryanna Preston?
  7. Don’t sleep on Jordan Lee. She’s incredibly good.
  8. Wb Kitchen and Catering in Frisco is really good. https://www.wbtable.com/
  9. https://www.on3.com/her/news/no-1-womens-basketball-recruit-aaliyah-chavez-narrows-list-to-six/ From the article above, Chavez's comments about her remaining six schools make it sound like she's much higher on LSU and OU. OU doesn't use offensive sets like Texas does which is how Chavez likes to play. What she says about Texas isn't very reassuring: Texas “They were one of my first offers too, so just keeping them in. They’re close to home. They recruit me well. I think I talk to them almost every day too and they always have high energy.”

  11. With how well Madison played point this past season, I have no problem with easing Rori into the starting lineup in November. Once Rori is 100% and starting, Texas is going to have some intriguing player combinations with Rori, Madison, Shay, Phelia, Jordan Lee, and Bryanna Preston--dang what a group to work with.
  12. From Vic’s comments earlier this spring, Carlton was already pegged to play big minutes next year, even before the portal opened.
  13. https://miamihurricanes.com/news/2024/02/27/wbb-feature-oldacre-standing-strong/ Interesting article about Oldacre.
  14. Oldacre was a 2022 McDonald’s all American and the #22 ranked recruit in the country. She’s had some medical issues: her freshman year at Miami she had abdominal surgery ams missed 11 games and her sophomore year she has a knee issue. I think this was a good pick up. She’s athletic and really big.
  15. If I'm Vic, I take that deal. Amina is a great rebounder but her offensive game is lacking.
  16. I’m wondering if Texas doesn’t have a big in the offing given Herron’s portal announcement.
