  1. Auburn knocked off LSU 67-62. Former Texas assistant Johnnie Harris is Auburn’s head coach. Always nice to see the Bayou witch take a tumble.
  2. I recall in an early postgame press conference, not sure which game, Vic stating that all of the players could be back next season except for one. I presume he was referring to Shalee since she’s using her Covid year this season. I’m not sure how scholarship numbers would work. We’ve got 3 incoming freshmen next season. With Shaylee graduating that leaves 2 more ‘ships needed. I’m guessing Sarah Graves would revert to walk-on status and perhaps Abby would as well. You’re right, though. We would be mucho loaded.
  3. UConn’s Aubrey Griffin hurt her knee in a non-contact injury tonight against Creighton. She grabbed her knee while going up to defend a Creighton drive to the basket. Geno was without words, which is rare for him. When will these knee injuries stop?
  4. Great to see production from the 5 position with Gaston and Amo both with a double double.
  5. Very informative article. Thanks for sharing it. Many of those items listed have to do with strength and conditioning, as you might expect. Here’s hoping for no more injuries this season.
  6. 2024 signee Justice Carlton tore her ACL in July while playing AAU. She's already playing again for her high school which seems crazy it only took her six months to get back. Maybe Vic should hire her strength coach.
  7. Vic has been consistent throughout his coaching career with being demanding and having no problem playing players 40 minutes. He has said he’s never had the number of injuries like last year and now, soI don’t think it’s his coaching philosophy that needs changing as many coaches ride their players hard. As others have alluded to, I think the problem is with strength and conditioning. Zillner was a holdover from Aston’s staff; I was always surprised Vic didn’t bring in his own person for such a pivotal position.
  8. The amount of love Vic has for his players, especially Rori, is wonderful and heartening to see in an age when college coaches can be all about themselves. Watching him grapple with the whys of life is gut-wrenching.
  9. I'm sure he's just devastated. I know how he lamented last season over all the injuries and it seems the team is right back where they were. They are beyond snakebit at his point.
  10. We have 31 games scheduled and to qualify for a medical redshirt a player can only have played in 30% of games. Rori participated in 12 so she’s at 38%. I feel so bad for her. Time for Madison to shine at the point. She’s a great passer and her shot is good. Amina and Shay can handle the quick guards. I’m still optimistic for the season. Overall the team is stacked with talent. Vic needs to make sure the kids don’t get down and instead rally together to continue their success this season for Rori.
  11. According to Vic at the postgame press conference, she tweaked her hamstring but was okay. The trainers iced it on the bench and Madison was in the stands signing autographs after the game.
  12. Chandler Prater to Okie State. Wow, Vic's having a difficult time reeling in a backup point guard.
