  1. In before Classics.
  2. Why would anyone obstruct the investigation of something that never happened?
  3. That is what the AG is saying in this case. In making this determination, we noted that the Special Counsel recognized that "the evidence does not establish that the President was involved in an underlying crime related to Russian election interference," and that, while not determinative, the absence of such evidence bears upon the President's intent with respect to obstruction. Generally speaking, to obtain and sustain an obstruction conviction, the government would need to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that a person, acting with corrupt intent, engaged in obstructive conduct with a sufficient nexus to a pending or contemplated proceeding. In cataloguing the President's actions, many of which took place in public view, the report identifies no actions that, in our judgment, constitute obstructive conduct, had a nexus to a pending or contemplated proceeding, and were done with corrupt intent, each of which, under the Department's principles of federal prosecution guiding charging decisions, would need to be proven beyond a reasonable doubt to establish an obstruction-of justice offense.
  4. Can't obstruct without a crime to obstruct.
  5. Where are you thinking of moving to? I have been thinking of eventually moving to Ensenada/Baja, Mexico.
  6. I was wondering when you would have the guts to show up.
  7. That the report was being released.
  8. What else would an investment banker in Moscow be doing? Talking to Russian politicians was a sure sign of nefarious activity.
  9. The report was given out by the media as soon as it was released. Had there been anything in it, it would have been released Thursday AM around 9 AM, or better yet, Monday AM at 9 AM. The fact that it was released when it was. supports that there is not anything in it.
  10. Sad that so many people here thought there was anything do it. But, considering the coverage, I guess I can understand why.

  15. After a short stint in private practice, Mueller returned to public service as a homicide prosecutor in Washington, D.C. in 1995, where Mueller reportedly had a tough time forging relationships with victims, suspects, and government witnesses and was charged with being cold and unsympathetic. "He was a gruff guy, and a lot of times, there wasn't much warmth or ability to really build a bond or connect with a victim-witness," one of Mueller’s fellow investigators told the Times. "There's times when you've got to bond with the suspect to get what you need. His personality wasn't necessarily the best for that." Mueller was also criticized for his time as head of the FBI. He led the investigation into the deadly anthrax attacks in the years after 9/11 for nearly seven years, ultimately leading in the prosecution of the wrong suspect, who later successfully sued the government for $5.8 million. After agents successfully traced back the anthrax to an Army microbiologist who committed suicide once he was informed of the impending charges, Mueller “was reluctant to publicly address the missteps” in the case. "I think he was personally embarrassed," a former aide told the Times. "I would assess him as someone that can't accept the fact that he screwed up." https://www.newsweek.com/robert-mueller-special-counsel-russia-aides-criticize-722670
