  1. Really! Just bean the shit out of one of them. Stop that digging in shit.
  2. I never said anything about this coach. Hell, I didn’t know who was until the regionals.
  3. Damn, chased this guy in a 1/3 of a fucking inning.
  4. I say bean this fucker setting up the force.
  5. OU won one that way against Georgia Tech team that had Veratek. Three game series GT beats them.
  6. Well, now we know why this pitcher didn’t last long in his last two starts
  7. Forgot one. Greg with his Hammond B3.
  8. I thought some would appreciate this. I was at Kirk West studio in Macon yesterday and bought a few signed originals. This one is a promotional shot for Alvarez guitars he shot on a Hasselblad. Which is the only picture I’m aware of where he is actually holding an Alvarez. Of course he would have posed with a cigar box guitar if the money was right. He is sporting a pair of Lucchese boots as well. Johnny.. Billy..
  9. I break it down by blue jeans vs Nudie suits. Billy found a formula and kept cranking them out, and got rich doing it. Their concerts were the same way. What you saw from them prior to 76, was nothing like post 76. Though there is a warm spot in my heart for Billy’s sound on Fandango’s live side. I believe that to be the greatest recording of PAF pickups ever captured on vinyl.
  10. Maybe, but like his previous US Open win at Winged Foot’s legendary rough. He missed a shit load of fairways on what was supposed to be inescapable rough, but his short game carried him. Specifically his putting. Afterwards all anyone wanted to talk about was his length off the tee. To the point he started believing that shit and thought he could overpower Augusta. And he got embarrassed because his short game just wasn’t very good during that particular week. I’ve played golf a long time, I’m assuming you have as well. And I would trade distance with my driver or my irons for a great short game any day. There is a reason the old adage “drive for show, putt for dough” is in the golfing lexicon.
  11. Is this legit? I thought he handled it pretty well. If you watch golf you know his take on LIV. But I didn’t think he did poorly. Did I miss some sort of gaffe?
  12. It was an incredible shot under any circumstances. To pull it off in the US Open has got to put it in the all time top 10. Yeah, he still had to drop the putt. But, you know Rory liked his chances when he saw the level of difficulty.

I buy the cheaper frames at a local craft shop. They are the type with the springer clamps. Super easy to change them out if you get tired at looking at the same album. They usually come in a two pack for $20.00.
  14. Funny thing about a professionals image. I’m part of a group that provides housing in Augusta for golfers who come in for the masters. I also rent it out for coaches who come in for the Nike Jam in North Augusta. Over the years I have met a lot of these guys. They are not my friends, it’s just business. But, part of the agreement is you must provide certain goods and services over the week. So some contact is inevitable. Very, very few are what you see on TV or in print when you interact with them in person. I would say it’s about the same in any work environment. You got your good ones, and you got your prima-donnas. Some just surprise the hell out of you. One example. The Nike group puts on a golf tournament at the River course every year. One time I played a foursome that included Bobby Knight, and Bobby Cremins. Up until that round of golf I knew what everyone else knew about Knights behavior and specifically his temperament. I was absolutely shocked when I saw him in that closed environment away from cameras or people. The guy couldn’t have been more genuine. Great fucking story teller, not a particularly good golfer (great card player however). But, he would answer any questions you threw at him. His language was colorful, but so is mine so that was no problem. My point is what you see from ANY celebrity in a public setting doesn’t really mean much. Some are just better at their PR. I think this week shows that Bryson has improved in that regard since his bravado after winning his first US Open.
  15. Making four from the woods was pretty amazing. No doubt Rory served it up for him, but that was a hell of a par to win it.

I started collecting any cover that Roger Dean did in the early 70’s. Of the 50 or so he has done I’m only missing a couple of them. Here are two you don’t see often.

Another early one. I know it is easy to find albums in different colors these days. But these early pressings were pretty rare. You never knew until you opened it.

You guys might dig this. I have had it since the 60’s.
  19. That is one flat looking Florida team. Zero energy..
  20. I need one of those bug-o-salt things.
  21. I’m open to trying anything to get my numbers on track. It is extremely difficult to manage.
  22. Ranks up there with Chlamydia.
  23. Depends. I own one that I purchased many years ago. It has a Damascus blade, with mammoth tooth inserts on the bolsters, and a diamond insert. They are high quality knives that are well made with presentation boxes. They also have appreciated to those that value them. Are they practical? I don’t think so. I carry a Case doctor’s knife.
  24. The mini 14 is a fantastic platform. Lightweight, easy to fire, light recoil. The ease of disassembly, cleaning and storage are also positive attributes. Accuracy can range from good to exceptional depending on what you feed it. It does exactly what Bill Ruger intended it for, an upgrade from the lever action that was the mainstay on most ranches of the time. Can you be unlucky and get a shitty one? Sure, but that applies to every firearm that isn’t custom tuned. Including those that come out of manufacturers custom shops.
  25. When you’re in the Bainbridge area head over to Greenwood Memorial Gardens in Renton and stop by the Hendrix memorial. The sign in book alone is worth the trip. I spent 15 minutes just thumbing through reading the entries. You will find some serious star power in that book.
