On a side note, should I come in for the Florida game? Am I invited to the Surly tailgate?

At the risk of talking football on a football site...

You should go, you're gonna have a great time at that game.   These aren't the high flying gators of old.  Now it's just curl routes short of the sticks and runs on 3rd and long.

Fun drinking game idea, Drink every time the Gata QB rolls out to the right.  PS you'll die.

tell me you've never spent any time in Oregon without telling me you've never spent any time in Oregon. I used to be a partner in a company In Portland. They don't just have conservatives in Portland, they have full on training with Militias on the weekends types up there. They happen to be a minority in Portland, but get really common outside the urban growth bnoundary.

Yup, he knows it.  He's just trolling.

The most traditional way to obtain Ivy League admission is to outperform at Andover or Choate or similar.  Once admitted to an Ivy, the grade inflation takes care of itself as well as the grad school admission of choice, typically.  Nothing there guarantees intelligence or the actual receipt of education, although the eastern boarding school is probably well-above-average.

Those who go to Ivy graduate schools from the hinterlands are, at the very least, academic savants and probably hard workers.  Doesn't guarantee they have a very good education or are even very intelligent.

I don't think Ivies offer much actual educational advantage over a decent or top tier state university, or a variety of smaller, quality private schools.

An e level exec at GTE told me ….  If you want to learn something go to a good state school.  If you want rolladex go ivy.   He was dead serious and to this day I wish I had paid more attention to what he had to say.

I love seeing tricked out trucks like this.  It tells me their IQ is double digits and they have Trump like penis.

I saw him broken down on the way to pick up some Dim Sum.   I rolled down the window and laughed and laughed.  He did not look happy.  I figured I'd have the camera ready on the way back in case he was still there...  No illusions about Florida being remotely redeemable, but I did take my daughter to vote today.  So proud of her.

These seven combined are worth over a trillion dollars and collectively control most of the public information space.  You cannot have a functioning Democracy with this shit.  It’s too much concentration of power, they can rewrite history if they want and no government is going to stop them.

    *cough* EU & Brazil *coughcough*

Certainly won't stop them if you don't try.
