  1. Normally I'd recommend hiring a guide directly, but Context Tour of Muse D'Orsay was fantastic. 5/5 https://www.contexttravel.com/cities/paris/tours/musee-dorsay-tour-crash-course IMHO a tour at the grand museums will vastly improve your experience. Pay experts for their knowledge and passion. You will see things at the museum you would not find or know about in a lifetime of just wondering around looking at placards. In the Louvre skip the Mona Lisa Disney like line. I'd just walk by the passage to the left and take a glance as you walk by. You'll get about as close and even if you wait in line, it's not like you get to stop and take a look anyway... they keep the cattle moving. Where to stay in Paris? we loved staying on Ile Saint-Louis (and more generally you want stay closer to Notre Dame, or at least so I've been told)

    Wine

I always just assumed it was an allergy getting triggered. French/Italian wines no problem at all, most California wines = stuffy nose and a bad headache. For me I think I'm allergic to American oak and/or it's something they're using to clear the wine.
  3. Fair enough... I saw the movie at an old fashion theatre and the marquee had it listed as 100s not Hundreds... so I guess that's on me. But google it either way and you're in business.
  4. One of things I really enjoy is just sitting down to a movie and being told a story with zero knowledge. I could tell you about the plot, the art style, and the production. But I think it's better to just get a recommendation and go with it. If you need more Google is always there.
  5. Sure, but a fairly unique small budget non MCU movie getting some love isn't the worst thing is it? Maybe just throw it in with the mass market MCU bullshit that we keep getting force fed. Watch, don't watch, I don't really care... Just a recommendation
  6. The Devil's Lettuce encouraged. #Rogue Shop Don't look it up, just go see it. You're Welcome
  7. Check out this asshole. A former State Department contracted officer responsible for diplomatic security was arrested Tuesday on charges that he breached the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-68230079.amp
  8. This line has lived rent free in my head for 30+ years along with "put 220 on the money, honey!" I guess he's gonna meet Jesus at McDonald's at midnight
  9. Lulz, what a stupid take. Just laughably bad. Yeah they ripped off the blues. But they did it better than 98% of the folks that tried and at least they added something to it... Complex composition, nah, just iconic tunes Riders on the Storm LA Women Backdoor man Light My fire LA Women Roadhouse blues End of Night Break on Through Love Her madly Love me two times Yeah, what losers!
  10. Yeah took me a minute too, probably because we're not miserable shitty humans. Also, if you're going to insult someone, just say it clearly like a fucking man. Every accusation is a confession
  11. Usually you pay double for that kind of action, Cotton.
  12. and her BF's sponsors are Budlight and Pfizer... so I'm not seeing it.
  13. She endorsed Biden last go round... I do you think that will change?
  14. 8th gen Maxima no idea about reliability, but sportier than you think. 300hp 261tq. Should eat up highway. Should be pretty cheap CTS-V Caddy she's fast and probably loose BMW 3 Series Great little ride that's well behaved on the highway (smallish) buy a good one and depreciation is going to be pretty flat.

  18. A few more things... Alamo Rent A Car had unlimited mileage and free drops in different cities. Check the travel aggregators for a rate and then check Alamo directly. It was a good bit cheaper. Book the smallest car you can comfortably fit into... They'll put you in a bigger car anyways. Fuel is expensive and in the Highlands/Islands range is your friend. Not to mention the roads are laughably tight. Here's a cute one... the speed limit signs don't have the unit of measure on them, being in the UK I figured it was KPH, and was careful around traffic cameras and in small towns, then I noticed the car's Odometer was set to MPH... So I was pissed. I mentioned it to a local and apparently the speed limits are in MPH not KPH so all good... no tickets in the mail for me... suck it Italy! Consider the full insurance protection plan, if going into the highlands... According to the lady at our car rental return 75% of the cars coming back from the Highlands need at least 1 new tire. (seemed outrageous, but she VERY carefully checked all the tires) When asked her about it she said UK rules for rental companies are very strict and ANY gouge of the sidewall has to be replaced. I drove pretty gingerly and still hit plenty of stuff on the sides of their narrow ass roads. You'll want more times on the islands than you think.
  19. Mcleod's Fish & Chips - there can be only one! When we were passing through we stopped in and were the only gringos around. One order of fish and chips is plenty for two. Good food, local vibe, you'll smell like fish n' chips till you shower Sounds like a great trip. I'd consider doing your loop and then catching a flight from Inverness out imho You need to be making reservations NOW You can take the ferry from Mull Tobermory => Kilchoan then from Maillaig => Armdale on Skye (it's a nice drive) Make reservations for the ferry (Especially from Oban => Craignure) Be sure to inlcude the CAR... the prime spots do fill up and will limit your options https://www.calmac.co.uk/ Stuff to make your trip more interesting... Check out hikes and walks here https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/ B&B's here https://www.historic-uk.com/BedBreakfasts/ https://www.thebritishhistorypodcast.com/ (if you're a nerd and have time to kill... They do focus some episodes on Scotland) https://www.storiesofscotland.com/storiesmap (more entertainment focused but the story map helps you listen to stuff about the places you'll be) Also you'll be doing a lot of driving ... so not bad a bad listen in the car or on the plane)
