  1. It’s because the later two games are on TNT and going up against NFL games.
  2. So Tech gets sent to orange bowl, Aggy now has chance to play in the cotton bowl
  3. OU/Bama rematch. Yuck
  4. That’s a lot of red teams in the top 4
  5. JMU is likely the fifth highest ranked conference champ and will get an auto bid. (If not them, Duke) Tulane is in as the fourth highest.
  6. I guess in some ways it’s nice that we simply have no hope and can’t have our hearts crushed watching this show.
  7. Three losses is why we’re being left out. That’s clear. Unfortunately, most rating systems do not favor us either due to poor performance in not just the Florida loss, but in multiple wins. And despite the ranked wins we ended up with, we just never had enough dominant stretches of football to overcome the three losses.
  8. 25 won’t be good enough. They have to pass JMU
  9. That’s correct, although UVA would likely be 11, and it’s possible that they could take Duke instead of JMU. Doubt that though. I got carried away explaining that the result of this game (ACC) doesn’t change anything for the at-large hopefuls.
  10. Incredible choke from Duke
  11. Probably right. I’m just saying it’s not certain that JMU is in. It will be either them or Duke for the last spot and the UVA/Duke result does not open a spot for Miami, ND, or Texas.
  12. One of Duke, UVA, or JMU will get in. If Duke wins it’s them or JMU, if UVA wins it’s UVA. The committee will rank until they have gotten to the fifth highest conference champ, even if that team falls outside the top 25.
  13. Nope. Miami can only get in as at-large. Top five conference champs still get auto bids
  14. That would still require Miami getting into the top 10 so as to receive an at-large. The committee’s reasoning for doing so couldn’t really be determined either way. One of Duke, UVA, or JMU is getting in regardless.
