  1. Interested to hear why/how Nolan decided to go with Ludwig Göransson instead of Hans Zimmer for the score, but damn it was incredible. And I love Zimmer.
  2. Shambolic in defense
  3. Looked like shit after the goal
  4. Kickoff changed to 8pm
  5. Just got out of a screening at Bullock. Incredible movie. A bit overwhelming in the amount of dialogue and named characters and the structure of the storytelling, but visually and sonically stunning. The Trinity test obviously stands out but the ending with what his words to Einstein and the imagery as the score builds was very powerful. Also the scene of Oppy’s post bombing celebration speech was masterfully unsettling. And brilliant performances all over. Also credit to the group of six or so people at the bullock screening who chose to sit on the aisle steps at the top of the theater instead of the front row. Good thing there wasn’t a fire.
  6. For comparable non-conference games, LHF typically sends them out mid-August. Haven’t heard anything from them yet about delivery or fulfillment.
  7. I know you’re joking (but not really), but from what I remember, Patreon billing is very rigid. For example, it typically bills you on the 1st of the month, with no proration. So if you sign up on the 30th you’ll pay, then get billed again on the 1st.
  8. Good movie. Meandered a bit in the 2nd act, but it was clever and a decent number of laughs. Performances all pretty good, especially America Ferrara.
  9. Hmm, based on the available photos, I don't think so. Instead, it seems to have a stripper pole (I'm assuming the ones below are the 12 seater). That may not be the right vibe... https://www.facebook.com/strugglebusbham/photos
  10. International club competitions don’t seem to be our thing.
  11. Think you can more or less arrange it, but it’s for up to 10 hours, so with 6pm game time and travel time guessing something like 1pm. My buddy is trying to convince me we can just reserve an uberX in advance both ways and lock in the price (around $200 total round trip). I’m skeptical of that working.
  12. Emailed the guy and got a quick response, he said their bigger buses are booked but the 12 seater is still available. While I’m sure there will be a lot, I only personally know of a few people staying in Birmingham. Any others here that would potentially be interested in trying to fill out a group of 12? I think I’d have about five people already.
  13. For folks like me still looking into gameday travel between Birmingham and Tuscaloosa, this popped up which I hadn't seen before: https://www.strugglebusbham.com/services-basic-2 There are a few photos on their site but not much in the way of reviews or testimonials, so unsure how legit it is, but they list a gameday roundtrip (10 hours) in a 12 person bus for $1350 and 25 (or 30?) person bus for $2150.
  14. So Corby’s brief on air discussion of it seems like pure wish casting. I just hope whatever they end up doing doesn’t involve too much TC. I’d love none at all but that doesn’t seem likely.
  15. Cryptic tweet is cool, but I won't get my hopes up til one of them posts this
  16. And Adam Warlock in Guardians of the Galaxy 3
  17. I can’t wait for the Bama ga— I mean the Allstate Crossbar Classic
  18. As a regular listener of multiple podcasts at The Ringer, it would be cool to see them surface there. But that seems a bit too big/national for it to make a whole lot of sense, or where they would make more money.
  19. Bummer if it’s truly the end of Dan and Jake on the ticket. I’d assume their show will go somewhere and I’ll still listen, but the continued breakup of the core group of guys is sad, especially when thinking about the big group trips to the Super Bowl, campound, etc. Dan and Jake balancing out Bob, Junior, and Corby in those settings is noticeable.
  20. Yep, I’ve seen it. Really good.
  21. If it’s a good or great movie, the format you see it in shouldn’t negate that (assuming it’s not on your phone or something). But a premium format can certainly elevate the experience. Movies filmed specifically for IMAX and available at a theater like Bullock are not that common and should be taken advantage of if you can. I’ve got tix for the 27th there. Wish I could see it sooner but most if not all of the screenings prior to that are sold out.
  22. Anyone recall when UT moved from KVET to The Horn? Were we still on KVET in 2005?
  23. Wow, I’m honored. They mention my grandfather (CAW) as one of the reasons they sucked in the past.
