  1. I guess in some ways it’s nice that we simply have no hope and can’t have our hearts crushed watching this show.
  2. Three losses is why we’re being left out. That’s clear. Unfortunately, most rating systems do not favor us either due to poor performance in not just the Florida loss, but in multiple wins. And despite the ranked wins we ended up with, we just never had enough dominant stretches of football to overcome the three losses.
  3. 25 won’t be good enough. They have to pass JMU
  4. That’s correct, although UVA would likely be 11, and it’s possible that they could take Duke instead of JMU. Doubt that though. I got carried away explaining that the result of this game (ACC) doesn’t change anything for the at-large hopefuls.
  5. Incredible choke from Duke
  6. Probably right. I’m just saying it’s not certain that JMU is in. It will be either them or Duke for the last spot and the UVA/Duke result does not open a spot for Miami, ND, or Texas.
  7. One of Duke, UVA, or JMU will get in. If Duke wins it’s them or JMU, if UVA wins it’s UVA. The committee will rank until they have gotten to the fifth highest conference champ, even if that team falls outside the top 25.
  8. Nope. Miami can only get in as at-large. Top five conference champs still get auto bids
  9. That would still require Miami getting into the top 10 so as to receive an at-large. The committee’s reasoning for doing so couldn’t really be determined either way. One of Duke, UVA, or JMU is getting in regardless.
  10. Duke winning has no bearing on us, Miami, or ND. It’s either JMU or Duke for the 12 seed in that case
  11. I like how Gus keeps saying the game is for the Heisman, as if it’s a certainty. I mean, probably, but still.
  12. At least it wasn’t the 1982 draw
  13. Pretty much all the game rooting we were doing over the last month of the season went against us, but enough has happened to get us as close as possible but still get left out. Apples to oranges, but shades of 08. Fuck
  14. Audio fucking up (crackling) for y’all?
  15. Refs throwing Bama a lifeline
  16. Incredible mismatch in the Dr Pepper challenge
  17. The fact that we aren’t even being mentioned as a possible longshot should be enough for any of y’all hanging on to hope to give it up. The committee is not gonna just invite itself to more controversy to put us in.
  18. Tech is a good team. Probably as good as all but the top three or so. We’ll see how the matchups shake out but they can certainly win a playoff game. Frustrating thing for us is that the teams ranked 4-15 are all pretty close.
