  1. It worked while he was in office, in 2018 and 2020. Once he left office people forgot.
  2. Well that's the other part. If he did a great job advancing his stated agenda well I wouldn't consider that a great job.
  3. I will be delighted. He says he will start a golden age, if he does so that would be great. I felt the same way in 2016 when he actually had some good ideas unlike now. And he did none of them, and in fact did the opposite in some cases. But if I am wrong and somehow Trump does this amazing job this time, that would be quite the relief.
  4. Yeah well, this was a blowout. I am terrified to see how this impacted state governments across the country.
  5. Maybe it kept Democratic voters home. I don't know.
  6. One thing that comes from this political polarization is it gets voters to vote. I think that is overall a positive. I hope they keep doing it.
  7. I guess breaking the law only counts if it is people you don't like? If people you do like break the law and get prosecuted it is obviously corrupt? Alright. But hey he can pardon them, perfectly legal, so go ahead.
  8. Yeah I want to spend my time over the next year or so discussing Quinn Ewers and Arch Manning. Rodney Terry and Coach Schloss. You know, stuff that matters.
  9. You should always be worried about Ukraine. And Georgia. And Estonia. And Latvia. And just anybody in that neighborhood. They angered the empire.
  10. Yeah they get to do whatever they want. And I think that's good. it always annoys me how in our system one can win an election but not actually have the power to do anything. Trump has a mandate. He could theoretically reshape the whole system. Let's see what he does. But I am going to do my best to ignore everything, at least until it comes time to vote again. Then I will go back and check out the carnage. I don't want to do 2017-2020 again where every week was another piece of BS to fret about.
  11. I know. Thank God. It would be like hanging out on a Sooner site right after one of our 50 point beat downs in the Mack era.
  12. Yeah well...she is done. That was her shot.
  13. Were they shams? Wasn't he found guilty of things? I thought we were about enforcing the law? As for whether anybody will go after Elon, that won't happen. But it isn't up to me.
  14. It is a joke my dude. Just poking fun at Elon. But, you know, you seem awfully big on punishing those who break the law. He did...so...
  15. Both parties have reasons to not want that. The Democrats cannot be seen to legally support less than minimum wage labor. That is why it never happens. Dubya wanted to do it but his party revolted and the Democrats did not save it for that reason. Yeah but he was an illegal alien here at a point in the past.
  16. Sure. I mean that is what tons of people were doing anyway. I was always in favor of a guest worker program. Our immigration laws just did not correspond to the needs of the economy. But will it happen?
  17. Yeah but most people have no idea who the DNC chair is. Cuban or whomever would be the one running for office.
  18. I am just saying the claim the economy is strong is in that context. But I agree that the strong economy does not work everybody and that is a problem.
  19. Sure. I agree with that. A lot of work needs to be done to make sure the economy benefits the people, not just stock investors. I thought we did some important work here in the last administration, but obviously a lot of work still needs to be done. But Trump and the Republicans will insist it is fine and point to those same measures and everybody will go along with it. At least that is what happened in 2017. The propaganda was things were great back then, but all the same problems still existed.
  20. I agree. Look I am all for being disappointed in what this election says about the country. But obviously a new direction is needed in the Democratic Party. We need to sweep away the old leadership and have new ideas to show the electorate. Putting Pete in charge and having a youth movement makes good sense to me.
  21. Yeah. This is my main takeaway. I feel like if you got fooled by Trump once, hey I get it. Politicians suck and here was a guy appearing to be on your team. But once it was obvious who he was and you vote for him again? Well now I am worried for the whole country.
  22. I don't know man. When so many of the ads were just straight up transphobic shit and panic over immigrants and that worked it is hard to think well of my fellow countrymen and women. But hey I am not running for office. What is the lesson? If you know pass it on to people who are. I thought we needed to be more pro-union, bring in more jobs, stop busting pot users, build infrastructure, and all that. But clearly not. So what do I know? I clearly don't know shit. No Democratic politicians should be listening me.
  23. He did a blood libel against those Haitians. That is pretty nasty shit.
  24. I would agree and I don't think any of us did that. Well Joe Biden accidentally did that and then apologized. But come on. I get called shit all the time by Republicans. This is a polarized nation, both sides throw around bullshit all the time.
