  1. Yeah. He was clearly only talking about the dude making the comments. He says "his supporter's demonization of Latinos is unconscionable" as in this one supporters demonization. That doesn't track that he is saying that every single supporter of Trump demonized Latinos. You have to really be a dishonest fuck to interpret it that way. Ah well. Welcome to the internet.
  2. Damn. My condolences on having to pay a little bit on taxes on that one at some point.
  3. All the pearl clutching is really getting tiresome. Especially as, in fact, at this point we kind of want the Republicans to not turn down the rhetoric. We want them to let their freak flag fly. Anyway Joe shouldn't say mean things about the voters. I think he was talking about the supporters making the comments. But, you know, whatever gets you excited. Biden probably helped your team out there a bit. DNC state run media. LOL.
  4. I own three farms. I mostly just hang on to them and rent them out basically for free. They are worth considerably less than my suburban house put together.
  5. Well, lots of elections are non-partisan or are for the bond or proposition to do whatever.
  6. Yeah I haven't noticed that at all. But what do I know? Everybody around me is certainly as engaged as 2020. But I am a workhorse politically. I just plod along voting in every election. I am not one of those types who only shows up when I think it matters. Hell many elections I vote in I barely care enough to check the results, I just educate myself enough to have an opinion.
  7. I don't know. But we paid a big price by throwing black people under the bus in the 1990s with the crime bill in an attempt to appeal to the "tough on crime" crowd and embracing free trade and throw the Union members under the bus to appeal to the neoliberal crowd. I don't want to see any other key parts of our base sacrificed to appear not "far left". Specifically LBGTQ people in particular. Doing that didn't win us much in the 1990s, and won't today.
  8. It doesn't align with the principles of anarcho-capitalism. Sure a lot of us might have our lives ruined but that is a price he is willing to pay.
  9. That is some hardcore hopium right there. Texas voting blue is so unlikely, I won't believe it until I see it. Even if the polls says +10 Allred.
  10. So...no then. Ok that's bad. We'll see what happens.
  11. The advantage didn't get us much. The Republicans have mostly controlled the State House, the Senate, and won many statewide elections in that time. Not to mention the 2016 Presidential election in Pennsylvania. 2022 was the first time that Senate seat was won by a Democrat since...1962. The PA D registration advantage didn't seem to actually mean advantages in votes. If it has been eroding away for 20 years than why were results in 2020 and 2022 better than the results in 2014 and 2016? That doesn't seem like something eroding away. But I don't know all the dynamics of Pennsylvania politics or what it really means to be registered D.
  12. Is that what you posted here @sushihorn? Are those totals for 2020 and 2022 versus current for 2024?
  13. Sure I would to. And we were in that system before Republicans massively started slashing taxes. And they will do so again once in power. No amount of cuts will fix it.
  14. Yeah but I thought that happened in 2016-2020. I thought those votes were well lost long ago but you are making it sound like the non-college whites were voting Democrat right up until 2020. It is only NOW they are all shifting. What? Talk about a lagging indicator.
  15. Well that is the thing. They won't do shit. Especially not with Trump in charge. You would need somebody insane and fanatically ideological to actually do this plan. Trump is many things but his ideology is Trump, not nativist anarcho-capitalism.
  16. It will be hell on earth but it will line up to my ideology better, thus a better place.
  17. Well fuck. I don't know what the hell is going on.
  18. Again is it puzzling compared to non-2020 patterns? What happened with early voting two years ago when the Democrats won?
  19. What were the early voting numbers in 2016, 2018, and 2022? I mean I get why there are slightly more Republican votes because in 2020 there was this big push to not do early voting or votes by mail for Republicans. Again I think there are issues with using 2020 as the baseline election to compare everything to. And the Democrats won in 2022 with all statewide elections plus in the state house with basically the same difference in party registrations.
  20. Once we deport every body and massively reduce public spending in an unspecified way the economy will collapse, but don't worry! Just stay the course and everything will work out. Yeah, ok. I have heard that before. Besides look how people freaked out over a little inflation, you think we would stay the course if we adopted policies that led to short term economic collapse?
  21. So the Dems and Republicans voted in equal numbers then?
  22. That's always the promise. We just shock the economy and re-arrange it according to their ideology and we will emerge in a great place. Never seems to work out that way...
  23. I always check three times. I vote, go over it again. The I review my choices on the review screen. Then I print and go over it again. Mostly to see if I committed any user errors. Wouldn't want to try to vote for Al Gore and accidentally vote for Pat Buchanan or anything.
