Jabbar Juluke RB Coach Texas
To be fair not many running backs coaches with name recognition.

‘25-‘26 Awards Season
I don't know. The players are pretty damn competitive. And this is their actual lives.

Tell Me About Texas a&m
So if they hadn't lost to us they would have slept through the playoffs? Yeah ok dude. That looks like the schedule of a team that just kicked your ass.

Just don't watch that shit. Unless OU beats them 77-0 again then tune in for the dancing.

This is giving me PTSD to Chris Beard day.

Well you could always do that. Wasn't sure what current year had to do with anything.

Arch Manning: Scores every way possible
AI screws up a lot. I only use it for fun. I cannot imagine having to rely on it for any practical purpose and frankly I have yet to find any uses for AI chatbots that I couldn't have done just fine before. That might be a lack of imagination on my part. But usually I am saying things like "give me 10 ideas for X" or "Why did this occur?" Just a few years ago I would have just done an internet search on those questions and gotten basically the same info. It just would have taken a bit more time. The fact that plenty of the information is wrong just shows how little different it is from just looking through the internet for info.

Really? Did some amazing advance in birth control occur in the past few decades I am unaware of?

If there is anything I have learned in life is that somebody can be an incredibly lazy talentless idiot and still somehow be massively successful. Deserving sometimes truly has nothing to do with it. Other people. Not me of course. I am a hardworking genius who has deserved everything I have ever gotten.

Citrus Bowl 2025 Game Week Thread
I mean fair. But I came to terms with the fact that we almost certainly weren't going to make the playoffs during the 4th quarter of the Georgia game. So I knew we were going to some Bowl Game. I am going to make the best of it. I am well aware this is a glorified scrimmage. I am at least glad it is something goofy like the Cheezit Bowl. That just good fun. I still really hope we win. Because I can't help it. I am just a fan who wants to see Texas win.

I give a shit! But only because the Pop Tart Bowl and Cheezit Bowl are good fun. It has that minor league baseball charm going for it. And Texas is playing. Everything doesn't have to be so meaningful and serious all the time. We can just have a fun football game.

ICE activity/raids
Wow that escalated quickly. Anyway screw Elvis. He told Nixon to ban the Beatles.

Wait they are mad at the Democrats for things the Republicans are doing? They are not mad at the Republicans?

2026 Midterms ...
They better never take that early voting period away. By far my favorite part of Texas politics. Granted that is not a very high bar. That is always the danger of gerrymandering. You do too much of it and your gerrymander can collapse suddenly. Republican voters probably saw his name was Dutch Guest and thought he was an illegal immigrant.

The Trump Economy
Glad we can, yeah, see things, you know, the same way.

Trump’s America
Is the new right wing vision of the US to be some kind of autarkic pariah state? The new North Korea? It's crazy. I am starting to understand just normal enforcement of our immigration policies is considered "open borders" to them. Just allowing anybody to enter the country at all is bad I guess.

The GQP: Trumpist Death Cult
And people listen to this guy? Back in my day being a virgin meant you were a loser. Damn kids and not getting laid.

Well now he knows how I felt this time last year.

Or he could, you know, just be lying about claims being down.

2025 CFB Polls/Rankings Thead
Because teams are allowed to play FCS and G5 schools. This would only work if we separate the P4 and disallow games against anybody outside of the P4. Probably then the G5 and FCS would merge. I doubt something like that would ever happen. It would cost a lot of institutions a lot of money and destroy the bowl system. So under the current system I think what we have is the best we can reasonably expect, with a little tweaking at best.

Holy shit you dipshits: 9-3 Texas is probably in the playoffs
No more than a preseason game diminished a NFL teams brand. If Notre Dame made this an established policy I might admire it...maybe. But not as a temper tantrum for their 2 loss team that didn't beat anybody. There are clearly rules for Bama and rules for everybody else.

Tell Me About Notre Dame
I think what frustrated me most about 2023 FSU was that if they had beaten Georgia they would have been unbeaten and just defeated one of the best teams in the country. They could have made a play for a split championship for the last time before the 12 team playoff. Somebody would have given it to them. And they just...didn't give a shit and didn't bother and just got slaughtered. Pretty pathetic. They had a chance to do something special.

Citrus Bowl 2025 Game Week Thread
I don't disagree except I just don't think we had a good enough season to be indignant at being left out. Disappointed? Sure. But this wasn't some legendary Texas team that got screwed. This was a pretty good Texas team that probably wasn't going to win the national title anyway.

I have talked to former UT players who assured me they all want to play and win far more than we want to watch them play and win. I believe it. But I understand business decisions.

Yeah. I used to think it mattered on some level but I think history has demonstrated it really doesn't. Which is unfortunate. I used to get pretty fired up for every random Bowl Game. That 1994 Sun Bowl was awesome, we all lost our shit we were so glad to win and Priest Holmes was awesome. But those days are over.
