  1. Well...that's a coincidence. We couldn't have possibly known Pierce would melt down and Schloss would take A&M to the title series and A&M's AD and Schloss fall out AND we go to the SEC all at the same time. You just can't plan something like that.
  2. But it is mostly about wanting to work with CDC. He didn't want to work here when it was Perrin.
  3. Look dude, we are not responsible for your conspiracy theories. Believe whatever fantasy story you want. You were not wronged in any special way. There was absolutely nothing that happened here that hasn't happened in hundreds of coaching hires in the past.
  4. Facts don't matter. We have to answer for their narrative, not what actually happened.
  5. 40% of the players? If by that you mean like three or four guys then sure. And yeah all the NIL and transfer portal and all that stuff is new-ish and scary and might suck. As for coaches, coaches taking new jobs and bringing their assistants with them has been completely normal forever. Just because it upsets you this one time doesn't make it bad for college sports. You got a great coach and got a few great seasons out of it. You have momentum, go get new guys. Surely this is better than NOT having two top four finishes.
  6. Are any of them even a little bit grateful for Schloss delivering their two greatest seasons in school history? I mean they had two CWS wins ever before he got there.
  7. Maybe if you want ironclad loyalty from your coaches you don't poach other schools coaches? Maybe you only hire fanatical Ags who are true believers? Of course you won't win much...
  8. Looch couldn't say anything because he didn't know anything.
  9. Pierce also did something evil and low character when he left Tulane to come here. No coach with any decency ever switches jobs.
  10. I care how he treats the players, not the reporters. And what did he do to A&M that doesn't happen dozens of times every year across the country? Switching jobs at the end of the season is how it is normally done. What was the nice way to do this? Walk off the job the second he decided to leave?
  11. Didn't Schloss deny leaving TCU for A&M exactly the same way?
  12. I mean we beat you last year and it didn't mean shit. Because beating you doesn't really mean anything.
  13. Um we did call and he said no. Bohls is so full of shit. Retire and leave us alone you old bastard.
  14. Nowhere in the article did they mention which fans were being assholes about it. Though I guess from the context it looks like it was both. What a weird thing to be butthurt about when playing for a championship but that is the most insane place on Social Media.
  15. It is who I wanted to replace Augie, better late than never! Great hire CDC! Going to be a great off season for Texas Baseball!
  16. TCU also has all of their CWS appearances on the wall in Left Field. If we did that it would loop all around DF Field.
  17. The timing to let Pierce go was perfect. The wheels were clearly starting to come off. If he had stayed any longer the program would have started to decay. I am glad CDC was able to make his decision based on the probable future and trajectory, and not based on what happened in 2021.
  18. Pierce had an almost magical ability to get his teams to play their best at the end of the season. Virtually all of his conference titles featured late runs from a few games behind for example. I sure wish we could bottle that and keep it on campus. That even happened this year. The Conference Tournament excepted, of course. The problem was his management of the roster and coaches was mediocre. It would take him weeks into the season to figure out the roster. He never really got an elite supporting cast of coaches behind him. As a result every regular season was sort of meh. His puzzling inability to win the first game of the CWS was probably just a fluke.
  19. Factual statements are disgusting! Finishing #2 is not nothing, it is the best A&M has done in a major men's sport since 1939. So congrats. But it's not #1.
  20. Meh. Every school in the country got rich in that era. Dodds was a mediocrity. But anyway Pierce is gone, and from what I understand the timing is good as the wheels seem to be just starting to come off. Now let's see if the rumors of CDC already having the next coach ready to go are true.
