Snell was ridiculously dominant last weekend against Colorado. While impressive, I chalked it up to the Rockies being the Rockies.
He's on a fucking heater.
Market Street was the worst I have ever seen it this weekend but everything else seemed fine. I didn't make it over to the Wharf but I had breakfast near Union Square and the bums seemed a lot less prevalent over there compared to previous trips.
Didn't make it to any bars after the game. Six hours of Pliny and Sierra Nevada will do that to you. But it was a great weekend as always.
And the weather was ok. When I walked into Oracle it felt like it was going to get fucking COLD by game 2 but never really did. Or maybe it did and I got drunk and didn't notice.
Great post. If I am not wiped post game I will try to check some of those off.
I go to Toronado every time I visit. Had my first two beers there today. Go Giants!
They brought in the ringers for the opening weekend, after that they're all gonna look like they play guard for UNT.
But yeah I would go check it out just in case I am wrong!
Also: 2, 3, 1, 4
Heading back to SF this weekend for the annual summer trip. Giants Rockies old school double header Saturday. Pliny and Crazy Crab Sandwiches, let's goooo.
I hope a homeless doesn't throw a poop on me on the way to the ballpark!!
I need to figure out what bars to try this time around when not at Oracle. Last year it was Emperor Norton's, Dogpatch Saloon, Parkside, and a couple of breweries (Harmonic and Olfactory). If anyone has any suggestions along those lines let me hear em.
When it comes to Hawaiian I like Ohana on Camp Bowie.
Anyone have a home theater company they would rec? Moved into new place and I need some help with a TV setup for maximum sports watching.
Found one place online. Had a July 5 visit scheduled. Guy called in the morning and rescheduled to Saturday, claiming to be under the weather. Come on bro, you're hungover. Then ghosted me Saturday. So they're fired.
I just hope Trev brings back Weekly Wednesday, Bill Byrne's greatest contribution to college sports and comedy.
He can write it in crayon and let a secretary post it online.
Ah yes, after taking a giant L this week and 100 year history of taking Ls on the field, go ahead and sue Schloss/UT and let our team of lawyers hang another giant L around your neck.
Johnny Wholestaff will be pitching for both teams tomorrow. It's for the natty. Anybody can come in for an inning except maybe Cortez. But he could get a batter if they feel good about the matchup.
I feel like Schloss has managed their staff really well in this CWS.
I don't feel like we were jerked around. The hiring process was handled stupidly and there was no permanent AD in place.
I mean maybe we were jerked around but we let it happen.
