  1. Re: Mizzou and A&M Pawns typically don't realize they're pawns. That's what makes them so useful.
  2. If you think this current meltdown in College Station is bad, wait until the rest of the SEC catches on to the Poooooooooooor Aggies taunt at the end of A&M defeats. Unlike the Horns Down story, which is basically a complete fabrication, A&M will definitely petition the SEC to disallow fans from being mean to them.
  3. A Buckeye fan is sensitive and takes things too seriously? Color me shocked.
  4. In the canon of A&M insanity stories, I am not sure anything can ever top Listeater. You couldn't write a more A&M story, and even if you did everyone would say it's a bit much.
  5. If I am in the window seat with headphones on and eyes closed, and you tap me on the arm to ask me a question, it better be a God damn emergency. Like you better be telling me the engines are on fire or something. The grandmother on my last flight asked me five times during the flight what time we're supposed to land. As far as I know, nothing's changed since the first time I told you, gram gram.
  6. This reeks of image and brand consultant work. Spiders would have been way more fun. Just don't let Glenallen Hill anywhere near the park.
  7. This isn't really an airport/airplane etiquette thing but what is the deal with flying that makes people (usually stereotypical dad-mode types) stand up and do bizarre stretching exercises in public? Was back at the airport today waiting to head to Miami, and I watched this 40 something guy just stand there in front of a gate full of people and do a full stretch and limber up routine for a good 10 minutes. If you did this at a grocery store someone would call to have you committed. I felt like I was watching one of those Dr. Rick Progressive commercials.
  8. Some of those shoes in this thread are 100% sex repellent.
  9. Yeah I tuned in and was surprised by the sea of blue.
  10. My bullshit meter is on high alert whenever a wife calls about something like that. Just saying...
  11. Those pork ribs look mean. Need to try.
  12. I decided after leaving this year's CWS that I was going for the whole fucking thing next year. Already have 11 nights booked at Residence Inn downtown. It's gonna be a party.
  13. Looks like it's time for me to buy more AMYZF.
  14. Angelo's is ok. Railhead fucking sucks.
  15. When it comes to airport etiquette, my primary pet peeve is when people are deplaning, they walk just outside the jet bridge door, two steps into the airport, and they think that's a good place to stop and get their bearings, look around with mouth agape trying to figure out where they need to go. Hmmm do I go left, do I go right? Dude, go somewhere, because there are 100 people behind you trying to get around you.
  16. Imagine having such a tiny dick that a looming divorce would make you want to buy a shit load of guns and kill a bunch of random strangers.
  17. We'd all respect people a lot more if they just owned the stupid shit they've done and say something like "Sometimes you get excited about things, like.... wings.... and you mix up your twittering and your texting." We'd all laugh and say I've been there, and move on.
  18. Somewhere an Aggie is laughing that we put Texas upside down in one of our end zones.
  19. This has happened a few times, usually flying in or out of smaller markets. I get lucky enough to be upgraded, board and find someone in my seat. I do the usual, hey I think you're in my seat. The person either a) claims there aren't assigned seats and "you can just sit anywhere" or b) fumbles for their ticket and does the whole "Oh, is this not 18F?" Yeah, dumb shit. You just "accidentally" took a seat in first. Because you were confused. Right. Go back to the back, peasant.
  20. If someone is willing to declare in public that they're about to doodoo their pants, I'm getting out of the way. I, for one, value honesty. And abhor bad smells in airplanes.
  21. My favorite is when your plane lands 15 minutes early into DFW and some jackwad tries to push his way ahead through the aisle while announcing he has a tight connection. Bitch, we're early, so you have at least 30 minutes before your next flight even starts to board, you're going to be fine.
  22. I'm gonna have to rule in favor of Karen on this one. Unless the flight was half full and she stupidly selected a middle seat over available aisle and window seats. Generally, if two Chatty Cathys want to gab it up the whole flight, they should sit next to each other. I was in this situation once. On AA so assigned seating. Got stuck in a middle when I hopped on an earlier flight. Married couple on the aisle and window. Even once I put on my headphones to drown out their inane chatter they kept passing magazines and snacks and shit back and forth to each other the whole flight. When I asked if they want to just sit next to each other, they declined and explained that they purposely booked two separate reservations with a seat in between them. So they'd have an open seat. Yeah, that's not how it works. In summer. With full flights everywhere.
  23. I went once, and it was awesome. Then like two weeks later all of them in DFW closed down.
  24. Poboys and cheesesteaks. You try to get one outside of their respective homeland, and the biggest problem is usually that the bread is wrong.
