  1. He’ll look like a broken down old man playing against a defense that’s wrecking shop? I’m fine with that.
  2. Also, Dude… no, wait, that actually is the preferred nomenclature.
  3. The SEC is murderer’s row until it isn’t. Who would Texas play in the championship game? If the SEC can’t provide any better offenses, that’s hardly Texas’ fault Bag on Texas’ schedule. Whatever. At least know all wins will be against FBS teams. Next year it will be “Ohio State lost so much.” Texas is out there scheduling Alabama, Michigan, and Ohio State. Fuck people who want to whine about the schedule.
  4. At the time, he topped out around 91-92 but lost a lot of control, which is why there were two men on base. The last person I wanted to lose to was a friend. Those jackasses were always around. Enemies left after the game. I’m just ready to be there to see Texas roll these clowns.
  5. An insightful analysis of Texas’ schedule in their Texas-OU thread. Clarifications appear to have been unwelcome.
  6. The highlighted is supposedly the best in the country.
  7. It’s really a fucking shame Boston College and Vanderbilt couldn’t close the deal. On the other hand, I guess, click, clack, click, clack.
  8. Right? The first time I played baseball against my best friend, my first at bat he hit me in the elbow because I was crowding the plate. Third at bat, I hit a three run homer. Dumb bitch acting like I hadn’t seen him throw a knuckle curve 1000 times in his backyard.
  9. “You know what’s also a misdemeanor? Jaywalking. Let’s play.”
  10. Especially since Texas isn’t fucking going to fumble. Right? Right?
  11. Brent Venables says “No, I think we’re ok” when your server asks the table if you need more chips and salsa.
  12. He has a .357 winning percentage more than three years in and they’re sub .500 again. It’s substantially unlikely to be too early, imo.
  13. Agreed. Frankly, every second these crimson cocksuckers aren’t down by at least two TDs, they probably feel good about the game. You don’t have to be reckless to do it, but pull their fucking hearts out early and then just keep kicking the corpse until the clock runs out.
  14. As usual, protect the ball. Here, an incompletion or throwaway is better than a risky throw in almost every situation. Go after them. Make them have to pass. Put the pressure on them to come up with points. Don’t try so hard to be safe you leave them with striking distance with a punt return and a busted coverage. Something like Michigan, but with more points.
  15. That’s why I say “with this team.” I don’t follow them and have no idea, in general, what their coaches do before or after. Other than Parcells, I don’t think they’ve ever had a coach over .500 with more than one season. When people look for conspiracy theories about what a garbage franchise with a history of poor head coaching choices does with yet another failed hire, maybe there’s just no need for that. Everything isn’t a conspiracy, unless the conspiracy is to make the Jets suck.
  16. Can’t we just chalk him up as yet another in the long and glorious history of Jets head coaches who can’t get over .500 and leave it at that? Is it really necessary to find a reason other than “if you’re not a Hall of Famer, you’re a dead coach walking” with that team?
  17. Maybe he’s a dumbass and I’m a dumbass, too, but I really like watching his stuff every week.
  18. Then what does it matter if his is upside down? It’s still a Longhorn. Presumably he has an OU tattoo of some kind, but I didn’t read about it.
  19. And? Would you get an upside down OU tattoo? Neither would I.
  20. #3 in the country in passing defense efficiency. Granted, look at the opposition, but I’m not sure what more you expect the secondary to have done at this point.
  21. I’m not suggesting there isn’t more to learn, but kicking the shit out of what’s been on the schedule so far is about all a hypothetically perfect secondary could have done so far.
  22. Which ones would you say are definitely too high, and why?
  23. I grew up not too far from Amon Carter and we didn’t have much money but my parents made sure I got to see a Texas game every other year when they played TCU. They were generally awful but I had kind of a soft spot for them. It was kind of cool when Wacker was there. He did seem like a genuinely good man. Fucking NCAA.
  24. Good for him. Moving up.
