Texas adds on-field sponsor logos for 2025
I love how the swoosh gets a pass. It is, after all, a corporate logo.

I am getting sick of Josh Pate
He’s already become a parody of himself. That was fast.

Texas Football 2025 - Seven Win Steve Rides Again
Only after a win do I read that thread and they are glorious. I wouldn’t read one in real time to save my life.

2026 QB Dia Bell
It was pretty shocking to me that his timing with his receivers was still that far off this deep into the season.

Texas Football 2025 - Seven Win Steve Rides Again
I think the mobility will be very important. I think he will try, and succeed, on throws Ewers wouldn’t. I think he has was more upside. I think it’s very questionable indeed to plan on Manning walking out there on Saturday and playing a better all around game than Ewers would. If he does, and the defense doesn’t miss the bus, Texas throttles Ohio State about like they did Michigan. Imo.

Negative Recruiting Your Own School: The aggy Screenshot Megathread
I’m not completely sold on the idea that saying Strong did what we was brought here to do, or thinking he cleaned things up pretty well, is owning the cataclysmic shitstorm of his time in Austin.

Yeah, crap. Gotta get on my computer. No mouse hover on the iPad. Thanks for the help.

New SEC divisions and pods thread (Page 38 starts recent discussion)
Vanderbilt’s QB is going to make $2M this season. We’re way past what was unthinkable in the 80s or 90s.

All things going to Columbus for season opener
Weather predictions come and go, but what I know for sure is that seven days from now I’ll be on a plane heading to Ohio.

Even the couple were more than he’d done before. I guess the fact that they were big plays and frustrating has colored my memory.

Texas Football 2025 - Seven Win Steve Rides Again
If I’m remembering correctly, Lord had been a godawful passer up to that point and that night seemingly couldn’t miss. I think I still have some chemical hard warmers from that trip in a drawer somewhere.

And it still somehow took an interception inside the five to close it down. That’s back when their fans were still friendly.

I don’t care if they’re the original, I like Oreos better.

Texas Football 2025 - Seven Win Steve Rides Again
Action One would be don’t run the option where the entire purpose is to entice someone to hit you and not the guy you’re pitching to. And, yes, the Studdard approach is a thing, but it’s scant consolation if your QB is planted and out of the game. The offense will be way better if he’s a threat to run and he does so. I think it makes sense to do it in a way where he can protect himself in a way that effectively running an option play really doesn’t provide for. That’s it. There are better ways to take advantage of what he can do with less risk, imo. Others seem to think he should be out there selling the keeper until someone launches at him, otherwise why the option at all. I suspect Sarkisian will do whatever he does without reference to the opinions here.

They “don’t make it clear one way or another” so your conclusion is that a lifelong Texas fans wants to see a Longhorn get hurt? Your reading comprehension is quite poor, but they make your reasoning skills look elite.

All things going to Columbus for season opener
Your plan is to hang out in Columbus at a place where alcohol is served and game highlights are shown after Texas wins?
-
Texas Football 2025 - Seven Win Steve Rides Again
It is a massive leap to say I, in any way, even entertain the thought of hoping a Longhorn gets hurt. It’s a bullshit take. We disagree on how Manning should run. Fine. Going from there to thinking I want a Longhorn to get hurt is just a cunt take.

The threat of his running ability will help just by keeping defenses more honest. His ability to get some yards and slide will keep chains moving. He could run a really long time if protection breaks down and against man coverage. Designed runs are one thing. Plays designed where he might draw hits just to pitch… I’d pass on that. Going for the goal line like he did against A&M, fair enough. Trying to hero ball it, not so much.
