  1. Good. Ignorance of the law is no excuse for us; it shouldn’t be an excuse for them. I’d have no issue getting rid of police unions, or public unions in general. It’s a little incestuous.
  2. Then they can self-insure with their pension fund. Or a get a group policy. I’m not an insurance expert, but the cops need to bear the burden of their malfeasance, not the population upon which they’re foisting their malfeasance If you can’t afford insurance for your activity, you probably shouldn’t be doing it or should be doing it better.
  3. Why would you need to abolish the electoral college to get rid of QI? Civil lawsuits against law enforcement are already on the federal docket. §1983
  4. Nebraska could jack around and be 7-0 heading to Columbus.
  5. It makes me sad, but all I got out of that is that the guy doesn’t know that deviled eggs are boiled eggs.
  6. Celebrate, sing The Eyes, head to the locker room, imo. Yes, I’m old, but opponents fall into three categories… The Techs of the world. Fuck ‘em. Not worth the effort of planting a flag. The Bamas of the world. Worthy of too much respect to plant a flag. OU: Plant the flag in their bloody skulls.
  7. How does CO purport to limit damages in federal court, though? ”Defund the police” is idiotic. “Hold the police accountable” is, imo, something all but the blue zealots would support.
  8. I go back and forth on sending that guy some money. I really like his stuff. I might need to do it.
  9. Require reasonable articulable suspicion of a crime or a threat to safety to justify making someone get out of the car. Throw QI in the dumpster. Require cops to maintain malpractice insurance. Have settlements paid out of the cops’ pension plan rather than the city budget.
  10. Depends on how far back. They’re getting substantial pushback on being able to keep people back far enough to render video useless.
  11. I’d expect the line to go up with an injury to Arnold.
  12. If you want to dissuade people from coming to the tailgate, just say so.
  13. Yeah, if I were in charge there’d be a chat and it wouldn’t ever happen again.
  14. I, for one, am on board with watching Texas take opponents’ souls.
  15. Or the Nashville part.
  16. All of those are family activities.
  17. Sacks are nice. Hurried throws are nice, too. I wouldn’t call it a weakness quite yet.
  18. “The ‘P’ is not for ‘powerful’.” I like it.
  19. My only issue is not treating it as taunting if they’re going to treat holstering the guns at Tech as such. Bottom line, though, the whole “anti-Texas more than pro-my team” is something to lean into, imo. That, and just laughing at people doing it while their team is getting clowned by Texas or doing it when they’re not even playing Texas.
  20. There’s plenty of “he was a douche, but this wasn’t justified” here. Both sides could’ve handled it better. One side has the training, the guns, and the power of the state behind them. That’s where I’ll place the fault for how this ended up.
  21. Like I said, people here are saying such stupid things, it’s hard to tell sarcasm from idiocy. Didn’t want to jump to conclusions.
  22. See, this is where I struggle without an obvious sarcasm indicator. You talk about nonsense and absurdity, then say someone deserves a beating for speeding, which is clearly nonsensical absurdity. It’s all so confusing.
  23. I don’t like worrying about kick coverage again.
  24. Can you even imagine the SEC angst if Texas were to beat UGA three times this season?
  25. I haven’t thought about it in great detail, but given the decidedly non-zero chance that UGA wins the conference championship game, it would be nice for Texas to have as high a seed as possible, which is likely going to turn on how the SEC looks compared to other conferences who are placing more than their champion.
