Lol probably not happy watching everyone gladly drive across the state line to hit up the CO dispensariesÂ
The real bitch is Colorado's on one side with the weed, and Missouri's on the other side with the good fireworks.Â

I never thought the Scott Frost era was going to as well as many up here, but I never though it was going to nearly as embarrassingly as it has.

For folks hard against unions, they sure have a hard time understanding what right to work/at will employment means in practice.Â

They'll just have him stuffed and parade him all over the country.Â
Reminds me of when I was in Bangkok after the King had died, and our guide causally mention that they shoved a large stick up the King's ass to keep him propped up for the mourners filing by.Â

I kinda feel like in Austin/Houston, it’s pretty close to a necessity. Â
That’s probably fair. I’ve always filed pools with the floats of the triple FFF approach to buying, and not given it a second thought

This thread has made realize that pool ownership is a lot more common than I thoughtÂ

What? Â Yeah add yet another job to firefighters. Â Those trucks are not designed for a plow and they already cost an arm an a leg. Â
ÂThey mount them here for record snows here. Not every time, but when you’ve got a situation they can do in a pinch.

I assume they have road temp sensors for that elevated roadways since everyone knows they freeze first.Â
Spraying saltwater 2 days earlier is ridiculous. That would have worn off by the time of the freeze. Should have been treating and retreating through the overnight and morning hours. Or they should have shut of that section until they could get salt and sand there.Â
In cold weather climes, cities enlist garbage trucks and Parks Department vehicles to aid in sanding/salting. There is more than one way to approach a solvable problem.Â

Fire trucks can push a plow too

I really don't see the strategy working with a commodity, but I'm very interested in seeing how it goes. If it works, I have half a mind to set up r/farmsteeetbets.
I’ll just note their are massive fund longs in pretty much every Ag commodity right now, with corn and soybeans inverted and wheat nearly there.Â

Some rumbling about the Reddit boys pulling a short squeeze on silver this time. Online silver retailers are claiming to be sold out of anything that is not already marked up as collectible. Regular bars and common coins not to be found on selling sites.
Maybe they all have secret second families in East Texas to supportÂ

Jimmy, could we please, please, please add Roger Marshall to this list? I know he's new and all but I'm sure we've seen his best already. He's a born fucking follower without a single original thought. He's just waiting around to get marching orders from somebody.
Probably ought to figure out a way to make Kobach ineligible too just in case

The cops today were like airline security in Laos where the only thing they used the detector wands were to wave you though and point where you could buy delicious ham salad and beer Lao

Also, Mar-a-lago better be eminent domained by the Govt and turned into some sort of National landmark for Americans just as Lee’s farm became Arlington Â

Ol’Thumby Ricketts wants everything to die that’s not a fetus/him. It’ll be nice when he is limited out in a couple of years, and we can get a new dumbfuck as gov, and he can focus on ruining the Cubs.(which I endorse because fuck the Cubs)Â

On the off chance that Trump barricades himself in the White House I hope they go full Noriega with it and just blare Panama on repeat at himÂ

We also have multi-year highs in corn, soybeans, and wheat now, and should have strong prices through 2021.Â

so bowling's a sport? Dude, if you can drink pitchers and smoke a full-pack during a "game", it's probably not a sport.Â
So slow pitch softball isn’t a sport either?

Except Frost already proved that he’s not at UCF.
He’s had 1 winning season in 5. A lot of guys have caught lightning in a bottle for a season, it didn’t make them good coaches either. Frost is a terrible game manager, and that’s where the close loses pile up.Â

Scary part for NU fans is where do you go from Frost? I mean if he couldn’t breathe new life into that thing, no one will be able to.  Except an Urban Meyer, which seems highly unlikely
It could be Frost is just a shitty coach too. Who would have though Matt Campbell gets ISU rolling. I do think that Lance Leipold would get a long look given that he’s very familiar with the landscape, if a change were made.Â
Farm Subsidies

One of the dumbest things in political discourse is the fixation on family farms like they are only component of Agriculture in the US. (I saw this as someone who works with family farms for a living) Pretty much all your major field crops are still produced by family owned operations. Pretty much all of your cow herd is in the hands of family operations. The areas of livestock that have shifted into more corporate control like pork, poultry, and dairy have done so mostly for labor reasons, as having a small scale livestock operation is a shitty way to make a living because you can’t warrant outside labor, and it wears your body the fuck out. My Grandfather didn’t spend a single night away from home until he sold the dairy cows when he was in the late 50’s and his and my grandmas joints were shot from years milking in a flat parlor. Every hog man in my family excepting my dad who died young from cancer, have at least one joint fused or replaced. Same for all the neighbors. When you have to scale to warrant outside labor you can rotate it provides for a lot better quality of life for everyone. For your grain crops, it’s not near as exhausting on day to day basis, but it’s essential a long term real estate commodity play that takes a long time to payoff with significant risk in the meantime, which is not for everyone. Most of the family farms that are gone didn’t go broke, they decided that they didn’t want to run on that treadmill anymore, and their kids didn’t either, and we need to stop pretending otherwise. The misty vision of the family farm isn’t going to comeback, unless you explicitly pay people to live shittier lives so you can have them as museum pieces. The United States will keep trucking along as an agricultural power because of our natural resources and technology it just won’t look like you think it should.
