  1. I still have this one in a box. It was partially dismantled by a cousin and I never got it back together. I'd have to locate a copy of the instructions, and probably some missing pieces.
  2. I was big into the Pirates legos in the late 80s/early 90s.
  3. Very cool links. Thank you. I'll show them to him.
  4. The people I know with them have hit multiple deer with no damage.
  5. I looked last night. They are either repros from the 80s, or a different model than the one he described. But it's been years so maybe his memory is a little foggy.
  6. My dad got one of these when he was 12 from his older sister. His family was poor and he never had any cool toys. His dad made him leave it behind when they had to move, like they did all the time. I'm searching for another one. All I know is that it was a "short, squatty rocket" (my dad's words). He doesn't remember it having the platform. It wasn't one that flew. It was just a model kit he put together. Were there any other brands other than Revell?
  7. Suggestions for a grille guard for a '15 Silverado 1500? I'm wanting it to look sharp, offer good protection vs. deer, and not break the bank.
  8. Interesting post from ATCZERO on SSP:
  9. Fiber doesn't do anything for me. Been regular my entire life, and nothing changes when I go Keto/carnivore.
  10. Mmmmm...catfish. If you don't have gallbladder issues, I suggest getting blackened catfish. Delicious. I prefaced that because the last time I ate it to break a fast, I had an attack.
  11. It looks pretty interesting. I wouldn't call myself a beginner re: lifting technique, but definitely a beginner in strength at the moment.
  12. Finally back down to my pre-Super Bowl weight, which was the low for 2019 so far (that's 34 down since Jan 1). I've lost 5 since Sunday night. Re: my previous post on Monday, when I weighed I hadn't gained anything despite the carbs. I was down a little less than a pound actually. I've upped my treadmill work from 30 mins to 35 mins. Last night I did a nice routine I may keep up. I break it up into 5 minute sections, increase incline by 1.5 and speed by 0.3 each time up to the middle 5, then back down at the same rate. Got up to 6.0 incline at 3.2 mph last night. I think I can get to about 3.5 without having to jog. I don't want to jog at all. I already hate the feeling of being on a treadmill, and I don't want to jar my knees with this much weight. When I break 300 I want to keep up the 45-60 minutes on the treadmill I'll be at by then, and also do some lifting. May start out with just some simple machine exercises to target the entire body. Wake the muscles up. Then get into SL 5x5.
  13. Me too. I read it in HS. People thought I was a maniac. I'm most interested in seeing if they can capture the courtroom scene. Funniest thing I've ever read. The sheer absurdity of it all. And the speed with which it happens with everyone talking over each other. Timing will have to be perfect.

  15. Nice to get a road W while Nashville, Minnesota, Colorado, Vegas and Calgary all lose. St. Louis is red hot, though.
  16. Oh, of course. You mean 405 Colorado. FAA and crane permits have been filed the last couple of months. Not sure they've broken ground yet.
  17. You're not talking about that Mexic-Arte Museum that was supposed to be a giant circle on its side, are you? It was on the same block as Frost. Haven't heard anything about that project in years. http://www.mexic-artemuseum.org/new_building
  18. I can't think of the one you're talking about. Ring pop?
  19. There's so much that can't be seen from this angle since it's from Rainey. That ACC expansion will look somewhat similar to the podium of the Marriott extending north. Then on the end where those Railyard condos are will be another hotel tower. The Parsley Energy tower is also not in the picture yet.
  20. The angle is definitely reliant upon the renderings available. This angle seems to have worked out well for many of them.
  21. I have a cheap Ozark Walmart tent I bought like 10 years ago. It's a pretty big tent. It looks a lot like the one South Austin posted in post #2. It has a ton of mesh and gets great cross breeze. It's about 6' tall in the middle.
  22. A poster named hequals2henry over on SSP posted this mockup of the future skyline. I see it includes Independent, Block 185, 6th & Guadalupe, 5th & Brazos, Convention Center Marriott, and Block 71. Full size version on SSP: http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/showpost.php?p=8467908&postcount=327
