  1. I lost 3 more lbs last night! So I lost 34 lbs in January. Ketones are back up to 3.8 Glucose a little high at 98, but I'm not worried about it. I think it was just residual from sleep. Now to feast OMAD the next 2 days, pig out Keto-style Sunday, and get my February Fast started.
  2. I love Block 185. Such a cool design. Thanks @bolverk for keeping up with this thread. I let it slip my mind for awhile.
  3. I may even put a coconut shrimp in a biscuit for you.
  4. I'm 117 hours fasted and finally lost the 5 pounds I gained Saturday on my big re-feed. I've actually lost 6 lbs so far, so I'm down a pound. I have another 24 hours to fast. Hopefully I can lose 1 or 2 more because I will definitely gain this weekend. I'm pretty sure I'm holding onto water this go around even though I'm waking up with dry mouth. It's that phenomenon where the body replaces the burned fat in the cells with water. Eventually that will be evacuated. I'm eating Red Lobster to break the fast. Broiled flounder with broccoli (extra butter), coconut shrimp app, and a biscuit or two. I know I shouldn't eat the carbs, but these carbs are delicious. Saturday: Kreuz brisket, sausage, burnt ends, pork ribs Super Bowl Sunday: Fathead pizza, burger patty w/ bleu cheese & bacon, pork rinds & ranch dip for snacking. Starting Monday, I will attempt my longest fast. I've done 7 days twice. I want to hit 10 days this time. If I feel good at 10, I may try 14. I'm down 31 for January with a chance to hit 32 or 33 by tonight.
  5. Back to the top. 2019 tournament season is ramping up. Go here: www.n42pa.org and click on Tournaments to get a schedule of sanctioned tournaments. State in Hallettsville is March 2 with a warmup the night before. If you want to play, but don't want to pay for a tournament experience, there are clubs popping up. Austin club is at C. Hunt's off Burnet Rd north of 183. Should be able to find a game all week, but best time is Sunday. That will be their league night coming up in a few weeks. Liberty Hill meets Tuesday nights every week at the Liberty Hill Beer Market (6:00 - 10:00). Lampasas meets Thursday nights at the Hwy 281 Café & Dance Hall (6:00-9:30) Fort Worth meets Tuesday nights at Fort Worth Pizzeria (starts 7:00) I think there's one in the Houston area, but I'm not sure what their details are.
  6. Here's one that's a little unexpected. Not sure it really fits, but it's chicken...and it's fried. The Sunday Special at Cracker Barrel. Two fried chicken breasts (boneless). They're big, juicy, and I can't get enough of the breading. First time I tried it, I wasn't sure what to expect. Now I get it every time I happen to be there on a Sunday with the parents.
  7. Can any of you SP regulars suggest some places where a 42 tourney could be held on a Saturday in June? I'd say it'd be around 30-40 people, at most. It would need some square tables. And if it was a bar/restaurant, that'd be a plus. Someone down there is going to go this weekend to scout it out, but having a list of places to check would help. Thanks

    Cajun

Haven't been in a couple years, but Evangeline's is great. Good catfish there, too. And those pistolettes...

    Pizza

Conan's Via 313 Home Slice I haven't been to a lot of the others north of the river.

I've never understood the Hopdoddy love. I've been there many times with friends. Each time I was left unimpressed. Especially with the hype and price. Now Hopfield's was actually a nice burger. I now want to try Jew Boy.
  11. I prefer the cougars at Vandegrift football games.
  12. I haven't had Gus's yet. But I'll take Popeyes, Bill Miller, Chicken Express, Golden Chick and even Bush's. I also haven't had the chicken at Top Notch yet, either.
  13. Babe's sucks. I've been multiple times because my aunt and cousin love it. It's average. The chicken is dry. The sides are awful. That "salad" is a joke.
  14. I've been to Lucy's a couple times. It was like chewing the ocean. Everything was extremely over-salted. And that's coming from a guy who loves salt. Each person I took with me said the same thing.
  15. What kind of diet are you eating? Just a pound? Could be the result of you jogging again. Retaining fluid to help repair your muscles.
  16. Almost 90 hours into this fast. Ketones holding steady above 2.0 and blood sugar is in the low 90s. My plan is to break my fast Friday night with some seafood. One meal on Saturday (bbq), and Keto food for the Super Bowl. Then I'll start a fast Monday and go as long as I can. I've done 7 days. I'm going to push for 10. My weight today is back to where it was Saturday after my 159 hour fast.
  17. I know. I went to the old place many times.
  18. Smitty's didn't even exist until the early 2000s. It was Kreuz since 1900 before the family split it up. Neither had sauce till recently.
  19. I don't own a smoker at the moment.
  20. Hmm. Snake Juice has potassium, but I was trying to get it in pill form. I'll have to do some research on the dehydration re: potassium.
  21. Ooh, I forgot to mention that Kreuz offers pork burnt ends now. They've been sold out the last few times I've gone. I'm getting there at 11am on Saturday so I can try them. Kreuz now has sauce, utensils, and a full array of sides. They have this loaded baked potato casserole that's pretty dang good. And they have the best kraut.
  22. Oddly enough, it's been dropping since then, but still above 2. My weight has also stalled a bit. I've lost 3 of the 5 I gained. I've only had water, water with Mio, a little pickle juice, and 1 Topo. I've also taken potassium pills the last couple of days. Pretty sure I'm a bit dehydrated and need to drink more. My lack of drinking enough is causing my body to hold onto it. Logically, there's no way I'm not burning fat. I'm 70 hours into this fast.
