  1. I don't come close to maxing my 401k. I put as much as I can. Company match 5% and I double that. For a couple years I tripled it. I want to work my way back up to that amount. I'm 35, single, no kids. I rent rooms out in the house I own to make my budget work. My employer does offer a pension right now, so I've got that going for me, but it's a long way to retirement.
  2. I was 213 in 6th grade. So my goal is somewhere around my 11-12 year old weight. Ha!
  3. Mopac & Slaughter - traffic diverting to the newly built bridge so they can build the other side.
  4. This is...interesting. I'm for it. It's not my money. https://robbreport.com/shelter/new-construction/forza-race-track-development-in-austin-2811311/ https://nathanlandreville.com/work/#/forza/
  5. I set my cruise control on whatever the posted limit is in Lometa when passing through. If you take the 190 bypass instead of going through town, watch out. There are two spots, one on either side of the road, where the cop likes to camp out. Do not speed through there.
  6. It's the only store in Lometa. Otherwise, you drive ~17 miles to San Saba where there are a couple grocery stores, or back into Lampasas for HEB and Walmart. Lometa has a stoplight, a Dollar General, a gas station, and a drive-thru beer barn. Oh and a K-12 school with 6-man football. What more could you ask for? Someone did buy the empty buildings "downtown". One of them had a caved-in roof. Talked to the crew working on it a couple months ago. They said it'll be a bar/dance/live music place. They won't replace the roof. It'll be an outdoor area. The rest is being renovated. Cool idea.
  7. Yeah, I'm not real sure what kind of recipe you need. Burgers are already Keto friendly unless your regular burger has BS filler like breadcrumbs or something.
  8. Awesome! Love a whoosh.
  9. That's true. I have to keep telling myself that. In the beginning, I topped out around 2.1. I read some people getting 6+. Crazy.
  10. I woke up an hour ago. Just took my ketones and glucose. 0.3 and 107. My glucose is probably because of the dawn phenomena. It's usually in the high 90s. All my complaining this week must have worked. I lost 3 lbs since yesterday, and almost 5 since Monday. I'm at a new low weight for this year.
  11. I made a chicken cordon bleu casserole and have eaten that 3 days in a row. Chicken breast, ham, heavy cream, cream cheese, swiss, parmesan, mayo, garlic powder, pepper, chicken broth, and pork rinds. Second night I added sour cream and hot sauce. Last night, I added a little extra mayo. Both nights I also added sharp cheddar because the swiss was too plain.
  12. Just got a 0.5 reading after 4 or 5 days of OMAD Keto. Very low carbs.
  13. I use a blood meter for ketones. Sunday/Monday I was only like 0.1 or 0.3. I'm going to test later and see if it's any higher. I don't seem to get very high even when I'm very strict.
  14. I will say that I do keep having to add holes to my belt, so I haven't lost all hope.
  15. Tazing her once, I understand. But if he had done it a second time, that'd be re-volting.
  16. I'm definitely going to keep OMAD through this weekend. Monday, I may start doing one meal every 2 days. I guess that's 47:1. I've got my bitters and liver/gallbladder support pills. I'll take that along with time-released magnesium, which helps relax the ducts in that area. Hopefully that will prevent anymore attacks. I like fasting and I want to keep doing it. Really helps not having to think about food and making choices.
  17. And more glass on the backside instead of orange brick like the rest of the east side.
  18. Screen looks a little wider, too.
  19. Beat me to it. Just saw it on twitter. Not a fan.
  20. Open house Aug 22 for Slaughter Lane plan: https://communityimpact.com/austin/southwest-austin/transportation/2018/08/09/transportation-update-open-house-scheduled-for-slaughter-lane-corridor-mobility-program/
  21. I'm so frustrated lately. Lazy Keto just doesn't seem to work anymore. Only fasting seems to work. And even then...not always. I'm on OMAD this week and have gained weight. Broccoli and meat once a day. Gain weight. Yay. The stuff I ordered for my gallbladder (mentioned above in my last post) should be here soon. Once I have it, I may start easing back into extended fasting. 2:5, 3:4, then back to 4:3 if everything seems to be working ok (i.e. no more damn attacks). I'm also restricting my menu. Meats. Cheeses. Broccoli. Butter. No more nuts, A1, or bbq sauce. I have to figure this out. No reason I should be stalling at this weight.
  22. Yes, it's still listed at 848'. Good eye on that comparison.
  23. Block 185 has elevations. We had heard rumors of it being sail-like. Yep. Pretty cool, I think. ~580'
