  1. I was just browsing on the built-in Chrome app and got hijacked. Never happened before. Can't figure out how to fix it. Every time I open Chrome it redirects to: us.romanticized183mf.top with a popup saying: "You should update your Android Cleaner now or your phone might be slowed down and your battery discharges quickly." I cancel that and the page has another popup for Cleaner Update for Google with two buttons: Instalar and Cancelar I've never hit install. I've closed Chrome. Force Stopped the app. Restarted the phone. Used MalwareBytes and Zemana Antivirus - neither detects anything. I used CCleaner as well. I turned off wifi and used LTE, the hijack was still there. I installed Firefox and the hijack doesn't affect it. But I have some bookmarks and stuff on Chrome I'd like to be able to access at some point. Any ideas?
  2. If it's a typical round robin - lunch - bracket play, it can last 9 or 10am till 6pm. Some are just round robins, 5-10 games. Those can last awhile as well.

  4. I had avoided this thread on shaggy and here because I thought it was just about those stupid balls that people put on their hitches. I just bit the bullet and bought a 2015 Silverado 1500 Texas Edition Crew Cab RWD w/ 59,700 miles. It's that real white color, not the off-white. No real blemishes other than one rim that has the clear coat peeling off. I'm going to get it refinished soon. Anyone know a good place in the Austin area? AWRS of Austin quoted me $155. Truck passed a pre-purchase inspection by a mobile inspector. ASE certified, 600pt inspection. The PO had tinted the back 3 windows with almost limo tint. Couldn't see out the back even in the daytime. The dealership got it re-tinted. Trying stock in the back and 35% in the front. We'll see how it looks. I also got TNT in New Braunfels to spray my bed with their Line-X alternative. $499 with UV protection & lifetime warranty if it starts peeling up, which it shouldn't. Ordered some Rough Country plastic floor liners. I had WeatherTech in my last truck, and they frustrate the hell out of me, so I'm trying a different brand (cheaper too). Got a custom fit sun shade for the windshield. Never had one before, but I want to keep this dash in good shape. I'm going to be upgrading the speakers to some Infinity Reference 6.5". Will probably reuse my Alpine 10" subs under the back seat and 980w amp. That combo is old as hell, but still bumps. I have another new 4-channel amp I'll try to use for the door speakers. Not sure what to do with the dash tweeters. Maybe let the head unit power them? I pick up the truck today. I'm driving it to Galveston this weekend. I'm pretty excited. I'm keeping my 2002 Silverado LS Extended Cab. It was the first car/truck I bought with my own money. I've had it since 2005. Bought it with about 67,000 miles on it, and it has about 228,000 now. I've had the transmission rebuilt, and replaced the water pump, fuel sending unit, ignition coils, & intake gasket. The windshield wiper motor, window motors, and driver's side arm rest/handle all need to be replaced/fixed. Front end is a little jacked from a stupid deer. Right front fender a little bent. Bumpers both dented/bent. Had to replace the grille and headlights. But they don't fit right because the supports are likely bent from the deer. Even so, I couldn't sell it. Not yet anyway. Love that old truck. Just put a new set of tires on it, actually.
  5. I got 86,000 miles on my last set of Michelins. It started to get a little unsettling the last week they were on my truck. I had no idea I had put that many miles on them until the Discount Tire guy started laughing when I asked how much I put on them and he looked it up. 86k on 70k tires. Nice!
  6. I have nothing to bitch about. My dad is 71 and my mom is 65. Both are still cool as hell. Neither have had a drink since 1980, so their minds are still sharp. My dad rarely bitches or goes on rants. Almost never. Neither does my mom. My dad would love to talk about global politics. He doesn't get mired in the minor details. He will opine about how actions are intertwining on the global scale and what's really behind the moves of countries. It's pretty interesting. Very smart guy. Right now, they're building a house and I'm helping them run an Airbnb cabin on the river. That keeps them very active. I'm hoping the stress of building a home doesn't get to them, but they've done it before. I think they're enjoying the process this time. Moving out of Austin was a great decision for them. Moving to a small town that's much slower. They go to church Sunday and Wednesday. They have a few friends from there. They help them out whenever they can. They are around young people. When needed, they keep young kids and take them to school and whatnot for a man at church. They actually talk to some of their neighbors, which was rare in Austin. I'm very close to both of them, but especially my dad. Oddly, I've been stressing over his death since I was a kid. It's really weird. When he does pass, I think I'm going to be a total wreck.
  7. There's a tournament for you Houston guys this weekend. I'll be there. Saturday April 14 Galveston, TX Beerfoot Brewery $40 per team (that includes lunch provided by Float) Doors open 9:15am. Play starts at 10:00am. 3-game round robin for seeding. Double elimination bracket play after lunch. Winner's bracket is best 2 out of 3. Loser's bracket is 1 game. Trophies and cash to top 3 teams.
  8. I finally broke down and just bought a used truck. 2015 Silverado 1500 Texas Edition crew cab with under 60k miles. I used a buyer's check from UFCU. I went to a few dealerships before finding the truck I liked. Their sticker price was below the NADA price by a decent amount. I didn't haggle too much. I did get them to let me drive it off the lot and take it to a pre-purchase inspector 30 minutes away who is ASE certified in all 8 categories. He performed a 600pt inspection in about an hour. Took it for a test drive. He was a former mechanic now in his 50s and doing this mobile inspection gig. Truck passed with flying colors. Clean title. No water damage. No structural damage. Only a couple of minor things: front bumper had been replaced, but radiator is original, grille and valance are original; and 1 rim has the clear coat peeling off. I'm getting the rear windows re-tinted (PO had limo tint) and a spray-on bedliner with lifetime warranty before I pick it up from the dealership tomorrow. I kept my old 2002 Silverado. The dealer said I had kept it in very good condition considering the mileage and age, but they couldn't offer me what it's worth to me. I'll use it from time to time for projects that could get rough on a pickup.
  9. Since that last 3-day fast where I lost 8 lbs or so, I've been holding steady. Only gained 1 of those 8 back after eating again. I've been eating 1 or 2 meals a day since then. Haven't lost any, but haven't gained. I'm thinking I'll do another 3-day starting Monday. I've been doing ultra lazy keto. Not drinking water like I should. Eating Spam and BBQ. Having the BBQ sauce. Ultra lazy and not gaining. That's a good thing. It's good to have 10 days where you stop worrying so much about counting macros and it doesn't go off the rails. Now I just need to refocus.

  11. I spend a lot of time in Lampasas. I like it. Not sure I could live there full time yet. Later in life, most definitely.
  12. That same night I had a hand with 6 sixes and the 5/5. Tonight I had a hand with 6 aces.

    Texas 42

Thought I'd get this started back up. I drew this hand last night in a tournament. It was left for me because I was the shaker. Odds: 1 in 1,184,040 - I'll never do it again, and most people never will.
  14. Just changed mine to the perfect 42 hand I had last night in a tournament. I was the shaker, so these 7 were left for me as I drew last. Amazing.
  15. Just saw that Bowie 7on7 (2022), technically 8th graders, went up to Waxahachie and won that 7on7 Elite tourney. They went 4-0, beating Aledo, Waxahachie and some team made up of multiple schools. https://www.texaselite7on7.org/news_article/show/901677?referrer_id=2106892

  17. Darlene is my favorite character. Dan is second. They have the best lines. I remember watching Roseanne as a kid, but not every week or anything. I for sure didn't see the last few seasons. I'm in for season 10.
  18. I'm about to break my fast with some buffalo wings. My mouth is watering.
  19. It shouldn't. Keto flu is just electrolyte depletion. Get on top of that and you won't suffer. I haven't had Keto flu at all since I started.
  20. You enter ketosis in 24-48 hours, not 1-4 weeks. And the more I read about Keto, the more I think there are two ketos. 1. Keto for fat people trying to lose weight: restrict carbs, eat your minimum protein, and then eat fat to satiety. The 75/20/5 ratios don't apply. The body is supplementing the dietary fat with your own. 2. Keto for maintenance: shoot for the 75/20/5 ratio. The body doesn't have fat stores to supplement your diet.
