  1. I’m pretty generous with tips and you can seriously upgrade experiences with some well distributed gratuities. Never tipped the front desk. Valet, bell hop, and concierge all get some monetary appreciation, but I’ve admittedly neglected front desk. I’m assuming room selection is the aim? I’m sure it does help at finer establishments.
  2. Schadenfreude is a German word that describes the feeling of pleasure or joy that comes from witnessing or learning about someone else's suffering, failure, or humiliation.
  3. Lanning doesn’t run up scores. If they go up 35-7 in second half he will shut it down
  4. Two retired business men are chatting at a tropical beach bar. One says to the other, “when my widget factory burnt down I didn’t rebuild took the insurance payment and retired”. Second says, “ oh, my I did the exact same thing when my widget factory was destroyed by a tornado.” First business man sits quietly for a moment with a confused look on his face and then asks, “how do you start a tornado?”

  11. had some insomnia last night. Watched: Emperor of the North. 1973 Lee Marvin Ernest Borgnine Borgnine went all-in on the psychotic train character and was a bit beyond bizarre at times. Lee pulls off cool alpha-hobo well. Real star of the movie is the train.
  12. I was thinking they were actually down on revenue last quarter. Flat, but missed expectations. There has been a lot of chatter about their sales lagging in recent months. Food and beverage company PepsiCo (NASDAQ:PEP) missed Wall Street's revenue expectations in Q3 CY2024, with sales flat year on year at $23.32 billion.
