  1. pretty much same experience. Pool shots were cool, but the story was totally lost on me as a youth. A person probably needs to be at least 30 years old to start to get it. Gets better every time I watch it as I grow older.
  2. whats your point? The arguments above are parsing the definition of "Free Palestine". My point is when that phrase gets screamed when someone is committing unfathomable acts of terrorism the latitude for nuance around a phrase is pretty much gone.
  3. I'm going to retract that. They killed and the casting was perfect. Of course Newman was Felson so that casting goes back to The Hustler. The critics didn't like COM in 1986.
  4. Kevin James? I think you need someone with the lovable oaf (Ralph Cramden) history to buttress the harsh characteristics of Justice. In a somewhat different direction Pesci 15 years ago would have been great casting for BTJ.
  5. All hits. Critics didn't give this movie any love when it was released. Vastly under rated movie. Newman fucking owns in it. Cruise is perfect go, go, go 80s up and comer. MEM is great as streetwise female hustler.
  6. Disagree. Avon is raw/street and Stringer is trying to be polished/professional. Elba's polished performance is exactly what the part needs, same with Harris less refined acting.
  7. When the slogan gets screamed by people lighting Jews on fucking fire and committing assassination of Israeli Embassy staff its going to create a bit of a messaging problem.
  8. Shameful shit
  9. Looks like Justin Thomas and Spieth have a chance to steal this movie.
  10. Reminds me of a late 80's RP movie. "were taking the pool with us"
  11. There definitely doesn't seem to be much urgency. I don't claim to know the ins and outs and whathaveyous of the entire grid. There seems to be a massive disconnect between electrification mandates for transportation/home along with data center construction(AI) and generation. I have heard tale of data center RFPs floating around that are for loads the size of entire major metropolitan areas in the last few years.
  12. A bunch of holy shit. The one at :10s extra holy shit
  13. Brie Larson X3 then Ann Coulter is the only acceptable answer.
  14. “ What the fuck
  15. Karl Anthony Towns moves like a 45 year old father of 4 playing at the Y
  16. I’m telling you how it went in 2020. Of course thats an eternity ago now.
  17. Good point. My rationale in thinking he can do well is definitely rooted in the basis that he can actually clearly communicate. I will admit I may overestimate the value of that. It would be incredibly nice to have a contest between adequate public speakers.
  18. Obligatory
  19. I would expect that to happen at least a few times in the next couple years, he seems to me to have been hitting the podcast world pretty hard in recent weeks. I suppose he has to at this moment to keep his name circulating.
