  1. So after all the time and effort to convict DT the galaxy brain strategy is to pivot from "criminal" to "weird".
  2. I can understand a long term fan who has been emotionally scarred by a throwback uniform that their team stunk playing in. However, from a distance its pretty cool when a team that is performing well wears those "loser" jerseys and kicks some ass. Like the Patriots with the old school 3 pt stance patriot on the helmet.
  3. Thats not at all what I am saying. I’d like to get more people into those programs and resultant jobs/benefits/opportunities. 16 year olds can drive a 4000lb truck 85mph down the freeway, but can’t be trusted to operate a bailer. That really checks out.
  4. Go read my posts brain genius. I haven’t shifted anything
  5. No, I am looking at it from personal experience where I have seen plenty of kids who are done(figuratively) with high school about the time they can drive but are restricted on pursuing certain career paths due to age. I don’t agree that hydraulic presses are to dangerous for late teens, that’s absurdly infantilizing. Some of them stick around school and make life miserable for kids actually trying to learn. Yup anecdotes to be certain.
  6. that is the whole point. IMPO there is a group of people who would be better served getting on with their lives and careers in their late teens. 2 years of idleness for later teens is prime time to get set on the wrong path.
  7. I realize in your world nothing of value is created without sniffing the farts of fellow French Lit degree holders. You would be surprised how many people make a good living actually getting their hands dirty .
  8. No, I think society would be better served with education and career options that don’t infantilize 17 year olds. YMMV
  9. There are certainly things that need to be prohibited. Throwing used cardboard into a safety interlocked carboard bailer and pushing the green start button is on the opposite end of the spectrum for example.
  10. That's a great gotcha line, but the truth of the matter is DOL compounded by many varied state regulations/restrictions on teenage work(specifically 16-18) are overwrought.
  11. thats Nick Nolte, I'm certain.
