  1. mine too.
  2. it was right after the bit about how good the coffee was.
  3. The market can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent- Keynes
  4. ^^^Triggering intensifies^^^ sorry you don’t like an accurate description of the past.
  5. Ummm…no. There was the consecutive quarters of negative GDP in 2022 that totally weren’t indicative of a recession for the first time in modern history. that will be entertaining/obnoxious to re-litigate in about 90 days.
  6. You don’t think Q2 will be worse numbers wise?
  7. Yup, everyone has perfect information and unlimited capital in the fucking text book. Out here on main street it's a bit different.
  8. The narrative shift from, "take everything Trump says with a grain of salt" to "Trump does everything he says" is quite interesting. Look, as I said above my push back was on the point that tariff liberation day was, in his words, the "triggering action".
  9. good boy just couldn't take it any longer
  10. I don't view the bluster and threats of tariffs being the same thing as implementing the tariffs implemented on "liberation day". Fact is he promised all kinds of tariffs during his first campaign that never got implemented. My first post in this thread was a direct response to your direct claim that implementing the tariffs was a "triggering action" I'm not defending tariffs, nor the implementation of the tariffs and I agree if the current tariffs stay on there will be some very bad economic numbers in the coming quarters.
  11. the fraying edges of fabric band-aids
  12. Its a guessing game. Same as it ever was. Best guess right now would be a Doge effect on government spending. I was never "quite certain" tariffs wouldn't happen. I certainly did say "if" in relation to tariffs and in the timeline that was said, I stand by it being a rational analysis based on Trump term 1's tariff implementations. What he has done since April far exceeded my estimation of what would be implemented for tariffs. Blaming Q1 on tariffs makes absolutely no sense, but par for the course for you.
  13. What day was "liberation day"? What day does Q1 end? The narrative for the last several weeks is Q2 will be the problem and Q1 was inflated because of pull forward buying to avoid tariffs.
  14. my future cardiologist hates you. in all seriousness thanks. Ive got some big plans for this during soup season
  15. Did you bake the skins in the oven, or over the coals, or ???? Need to give this a go
  16. This deserved on the spot execution. What an asshole.
  17. Pretty,...pretty,...pretty good. So 5 months for a permit times 9400 structures burned.....carry the one...Altadena totally rebuilt in the year 6725(give or take a century or so). Just think if they hadn't TOTALLY promised to expedite the permitting.
  18. UN-DE-FEATED
  19. guess he didn't want a Coke?
