  1. And the whole "silent when they fly" thing makes it even awesomer.
  2. Conversely... if you put "blowjob" on the calendar a couple of times a week, it ensures that it will happen. While removing the mystery of "will I get a beej tonight?", it then becomes evidence for future discussions- "Why didn't you come to junior's saxophone recital? It was on the calendar!" "Oh, so we're doing all the things on the calendar now??"
  3. 2000 or so years of the weather man being more accurate has given them the benefit of the doubt in this comparison. Now, when someone says "Omar's comin'...." That's a different story altogether.
  4. There was a whole "50's revival" during the 80's, and that nostalgia seems to fit with The Outsiders and Footloose (and "Back to the Beach", but I digress). Grease would fit here, at least from a "things that popular due to the new-fangled VCR thing". A movie series that I'd add: High School Musical. May fit with the Millennials (2006 release, middle of their generation) OR with Gen Z (if they watched it as kids).
  5. I have to use two, but sure.
  6. I've heard an argument that SCOTUS may overrule Colorado/Maine on the grounds that the president hasn't been indicted for insurrection (with those trials ongoing). But since the House impeached him for "incitement of insurrection" on Jan 13th, would impeachment on those terms carry the same weight as indictment? (I know, I know... They'll all find facts or arguments to support their preconceived decisions)
  7. Groveland, you say? Interesting history
  8. RE: NFL films- I use this one as my alarm in the morning.
  9. Fixed, due to the involvement of the Orangutan in Chief and MTG.

  11. This is the way.
  12. Speculation that the new Alabama hire (former Michigan coach) may have also shared some of the Wolverine 'prep' strategies
  13. "God, give me the strength to not just smother everyone of these fools in their sleep..."
  14. "If I go any lighter, it won't have enough stopping power for those horned rabbits"
  15. Yeah! Why for is problem?

  17. Oh, I don't know... He's still got time to finish coloring in all the pictures in his books.
  18. Since the FLSA figures use minimum wage rates to determine the threshold for exempt jobs, the bump in minimum wage in Washington is having an unexpected impact in higher education. Now coaches and a lot of student development staff who (by nature) work long or irregular hours are being pushed to hourly status (particularly at smaller institutions where 'just raising their salary' isn't an option). Coupled with a number of state laws and DoE requirements, it's also turning a lot of these positions into ones that are primarily administrative (since there are other penalties if you don't follow the regulations) rather than the educational/developmental/mentoring/counseling work that's been their focus. This is unfortunately coinciding with the rise in student emotional health issues and interpersonal immaturity that we're seeing post pandemic. Good times.
  19. Something something Mother Tucker something. I'll keep workshopping it...
