  1. They had that fight that was starting to get physical and he stormed out and got a dwi, which i guess he beat. He was right at or maybe even below the limit. At least it cost him lots of money.
  2. Another reason to hate Bud Adams -- half measures with VY. Seems like he drafted him to spite Houston but then didn't follow through and let Fisher know that he runs the VY offense or you take your moustache and milquetoast 500 record and jam them up your ass. Some hungry coach would have been more than happy to ride VY's coattails to a Super Bowl but instead we had that terrible frustrating what-could-have-been? career. Just a few weeks ago, my dad was clearing out his things and found a framed copy of the SI with VY on the cover when he was still looking good for the Titans. It's autographed. Dad was going to throw it out. I said I would take it, but only so he would not throw it out. I don't really want it, either.
  3. This new Chrispy Donkey is TTomTeriffic. No, not the poster, but as an adjective, it fits.
  4. Mr Big from Sex in the City -- includes allegations of straight up rape. Dates with Mr Bigger and Mr Biggest are in his future.../nolobo. Jeff Garlin ousted from The Goldbergs for vague "HR violations." Somehow I see this ending up a plotline on Curb with him telling Larry all the details and Susie screaming at him way more than usual.
  5. Or mayyybeee CT pretty much knew Ewers was already in so he was already planning on going in the portal and told X so...Or maybe he didn't think Casey would mind if he, X, wanted a QB for his third year at UT. No, alll of y'all have to interpret it like some bitch move on The Bachelor or some shit, that X just threw it out there on the Internet and Casey and his dad collapsed weeping when they saw it. On another note, not only did Casey have a shit offensive line, but the Casey haters on this thread seem to be forgetting or ignoring the fact that aside from X and the usual four games of a healthy Whittington, this was the sorriest WR corps we've had in years.
  6. To their credit it was a scoreless tie after a quarter.
  7. Dominance in the championship game should be heavily weighted. Yates absolutely crushed Permian. 37-0 and it wasn't that close. The Lions had 20 tackles for loss in that game. Twenty. Not sure how many plays Permian ran total but 20 is a lot of TFLs.
  8. A coach like Urban or Saban could and perhaps did look at our talent levels the years they were asked to step in and say thanks but no thanks. I know a lot of y'all seem to think the mere presence of those dudes on the sidelines equates to 11 wins and playoff appearances, even with Tyrone Swoopes at QB or (whoever exactly was our star defensive player this year) and a roster otherwise as devoid of draft picks as some mid-tier MAC team, but that's not how it works. You don't win Daytona in a Kia even if you are Dale Earnhardt. So they know their reputations would take a hit. They are too old and ornery to sweat out five- and six- win seasons trying to get shit back on track, to there is no way in hell they would come here at this stage in their careers. They have been there and done that and the process sucks ass. We'd have a *serious* fire Urban / Saban thread up before non-conference in year two if that coach dropped a single game that year after a five or six-win season the year before. And yet some of our fans seem to think these guys dream of coming here and subjecting themselves to years of stress and humiliation because why? We're Texas? Coaches like those two are smart enough to know when they can parachute into a situation where there's a loaded young roster and they can start out with some goodwill. Or, in the old days, they could manage expectations. You can bet Mack Brown wasn't promising Tarheel boosters perennial Peach Bowl bids during his first two seasons when he went 2-20 at UNC. I can't think of the last time a coach at a major-ish program has even tried that, though. Just come out and said give me two years to suck and by year three we'll hace this thing humming along smooth.
  9. Orakpo came in at 6'5, 210 IIRC. He ended up a wee bit bigger than that.
  10. Nowhere. Not just because he was a terrible QB, but because the portal didn't exist until two years after his eligibility ended. That's of no concern to the "Casey Thompson was a cancer 'cause butthurt, lyin' IT says so" crowd who want so badly for it to be true to deflect from their dishonest and unethical financial backing of Card.
  11. Guys like him need a different descriptor than "ATH" "FBP" would do, or BAMF.
  12. You should be over your food coma by now, and...
  13. I was the largest child born in Austin on my birthday aside from a Black kid named Turnipseed. So I've been told all my life....
  14. Drinking habits of monkeys..... ila They are like us. Similar breakdown of teetotalers, occasional drinkers, daily drinkers, and complete lushes. Unlike us, the lushes tend to be atop the social structure.
  15. New Money Waters to celebrate SOC....maybe a rap renaissance for Dallas too.
  16. He lost what little was left of his moral authority getting that stank on his finger. If you are gonna be a hardass coach you need to at least appear to have your shit in order. He lost what was left of his aura of competence getting busted CATTING AROUND IN HIS OWN BAR. If a man can't get some strange in a town where he is a god in his own fuckin' little playground without getting snitched on he is lacking both respect and competence. He should have been taking up cameras at the door. Or there should have been and understanding -- Urban gets to fuck around and we don't snitch. Shit, the girl he gave the shocker to seemed to be willing to play by those rules but obvs that is no longer a unanimous sentiment. That's off the field. On the field he was a historic disaster. Meanwhile the game off and on the field has shifted, titanically. He would return to a recruiting landscape completely altered and he would be behind the 8-ball at first. He will sit out a couple of years and wind up somewhere like Liberty where he will be mediocre. Or somewhere like Auburn where he would be a disaster. He will never, ever coach at the University of Texas, and I am relieved and happy about that.
  17. Cedar Choppers -- Austin's own Lost Appalachian Tribe. They were Alan Lomax's first field recordings.
  18. Yet more high level sedition that will go unpunished while we send their Short Bus Brigades to federal prisons.
  19. My guess is Maund's judgement was clouded by some of the accoutrements of the decimillionaire playboy lifestyle. I bet this idiot paid with a check or on Venmo with "death to my haterz" as the note.
  20. Surely these dogs had killed infant monkeys before...I wonder if there was something special about this one. A Chosen One, a Doggy Lama, if you will....
