  1. This is true. Also, their OL depth is no bueno...and the 2 games they play before Texas are at LSU and at Miami.
  2. Our C & G run blocking should be improved with this group. If Baxter is truly healthy, this will make a difference in opening up Sark's entire offense.

  4. Back when we originally recruited him, I told you guys Ewers inability to run block would keep us from winning a national title.
  5. Are you implying that, when he goes pro, Mosley will be the fastest WR at the NFL combine?
  6. At one point last year, Washington State was 9-1. they had defeated Washingon (at Washington) which is beyond huge for them. The had humiliated Texas Tech. Their only loss at that point was a high scoring game at Boise State. After everything they (and their conference) had been through, they were in the mix for the CFB playoffs. With the pressure on, everything on the line, and an historic season hanging in the balance, Arbuckle & Mateer delivered consecutive losses to New Mexico, Oregon State & Wyoming.
  7. Neither one of those guys is white.
  8. He prefers the term 'midget.'
  9. {Not a rules violation because it attacks people from both sides}
  10. My friends and I never use the word 'cocaine.' We refer to it as, "Ultra sports gambling fifa World Cup."
  11. If that wasn't Mateer's Venmo, and this whole thing was bogus, there wouldn't be a delay.
  12. These are all great points. I certainly don't think Texas will perform at the level of the average team with a new starting QB with 4 new o-line starters. However, the data should guide people to realize that we likely won't go undefeated, and even making the playoffs under these circumstances is less likely than most want to admit.
  13. The odds suggest he will. It isn't a certainty, but it is more likely than not. I like playing around with ChatGPT. For all of its faults, it does have an enormous amount of data on things like this. Here is what it says: Statistical Breakdown 1. First-Year Starting QBs Tend to Hurt Team Performance On average, teams with a brand-new starting quarterback see their winning percentage drop by about 3.4%, while also underperforming point-spread expectations (covering just 49%) The Score. 2. Adding Four or More New Offensive Starters Compounds the Issue Teams with a new QB and up to four new offensive starters have historically struggled badly: Only 20 out of 82 such teams saw improvement. The average decline was 22% in winning percentage, coupled with a 4% drop in ATS (Against The Spread). Their combined ATS was just 44.7%, significantly below average The Score. 3. Contrast: Teams with Continuity Teams with a returning starting quarterback and at least nine other offensive returning starters tend to improve by about 8% in winning percentage, with better ATS performance (~52.6%) The Score. Likewise, stable setups — returning QB, same OC, and most offensive starters — yield even stronger benefits The Score. Why the Combination of Inexperience & Disruption Is Risky Offensive line experience is a key predictor of success, particularly in pass protection: One study showed that offensive line experience explained 5–10% of the variation in yards per carry Mgoblog. Experienced, cohesive lines also significantly reduce sack rates, giving the QB more time and increasing offensive efficiency Mgoblog. In real-game examples, newly assembled lines with poor cohesion often struggle with fundamentals: South Carolina’s line with three new starters and a center in a new position managed just 5.2 yards per play, and had under 30% rushing success – a clear sign of line dysfunction affecting the entire offense On3.
  14. In 2004, I was at a Texans game when I heard someone talking about how Baylor had stunned A&M the night before. I had no idea this had happened. I spent a lot of money getting myself and my friends drunk in celebration. Great time. I would enjoy an aggie loss to UTSA this year even more.
