I’m not a big trust the coaches guy, but I have a hard time getting too worked up about OL recruiting notwithstanding blatant dereliction of duty

The interior d-lineman we wanted the most from the transfer portal went to OU.

The OT we originally wanted the most this recruiting cycle just committed to OU.

Maybe they both will suck, but no one can be encouraged if this pattern continues. Sark's best o-line recruting haul was a freak circumstance brought about when Mario bolted from Oregon. No one should be in complete freakout mode, but no one should be whelmed either.

I heard this story second hand. Here is the background:

The parents neglected their daughter so the daughter was raised by her grandparents. I don't know if there was physical abuse but let's assume there was.

The daughter grew up and got a masters in social work and works with the homeless due to her trauma from her upbringing. She did not get married.

The daughter recently started to rebuild/build a relationship with her parents (because she is a forgiving person). But, the relationship is pretty weak and limited.

The daughter went to hospital following a minor procedure. The daughter developed an infection which worsened. The hospital was negligent and the daughter passed away.

The parents are now suing the doctor and the hospital for negligence.

So, basically the hospital and doctor were negligent and someone should win a large sum of money. In my opinion, the parents should not receive a dime. I would think that the daughter would put them last on the list, even if she was forgiving. As an outsider, I would put the parents last on the list.

How do y'all think this will play out in a court of law? We all want justice but how should it work in this case?

     Now, many many years ago
    When I was twenty three
I was married to a widow
Who was pretty as could be
This widow had a grown-up daughter
    Had hair of red
My father fell in love with her
And soon the two were wed
This made my dad my son-in-law
    And changed my very life
    My daughter was my mother
'Cause she was my father's wife
     To complicate the matters
Even though it brought me joy
    I soon became the father
    Of a bouncing baby boy
     My little baby then became
    A brother-in-law to dad
    And so became my uncle
Though it made me very sad
For if he was my uncle
That also made him the brother
    Of the widow's grown-up daughter
Who, of course, was my step-mother
     I'm my own grandpa
    I'm my own grandpa
    It sounds funny I know
    But it really is so
    I'm my own grandpa

    QS World rankings

    23- Michigan

    67- Texas

    128- Texas A&M

    173- Florida

    226- Virginia

    541-Georgia

QS World University Rankings 2022: Top Global Universities | Top Universities

I can tell you from personal experience that their is a subset of highly lucrative careers that will gladly interview Michigan, Texas and UVA grads (and won't talk to an A&M or UGA grad unless they are someone's nephew) regardless of the opinions of Nunzio.

I dont put Florida and Texas on the same level but I think Florida is an actual good school.

Florida does a great job of gaming the US News rankings. The Bright Futures scholarship keeps a lot of elite students home because they can go to UF for free. Getting into UF even as an instate applicant is murder. However, it is difficult to find a single undergraduate category where UF is ranked ahead of Texas. I looked once, and I couldn't find a single one.

They're not. But they also tick the "it's a real university with some credibility" box compared to the Auburns of the world.

There are many doors open to certain Texas, Michigan or UVA grads that are not open to A&M or UGA grads. They are not comparable. You implied they were close to being equals. Stop embarassing yourself.

They're pretty close in terms of OOS perception.

This is the most retarded fuckng thing I have ever seen posted on this website. Even for undergrad.

You brought up US News. Go look at their undergrad ranking of Texas for Business, Engineering, CS...anything that matters. UGA is nowhere close.

As if subjecting us to all your shitty takes on NIL for months on end wasn’t enough, now you’re trying to argue UGA doesn’t have good academics relative to football schools.

I have a hard time singing the academic praises of a non-Notre Dame institution that is going all out to attain AAU status and can't get it done. Hell, even USF became an AAU member. To get triggered that quickly, and that vigorously, you MUST have a kid attending Georgia.....
