  1. I agree. Everyone is talking about this like a trap game. Everyone is poised to say, "I told you so" and to beat their chests about the Michigan D and the Big House and facing the defending national champs. To go into a situation like this where everyone is hoping for, and talking themselves into, Texas taking a stumble, and to come out with a convincing win, would scare the **** out of the entire country. I am convinced Sark and the team are ready for this moment.
  2. It would be so much better if we had a drone video of the entire trip. 3/10, would not watch again.
  3. If you have a concern, you must believe the Michigan short passing game has some capacity to hurt us in the shallow middle. What is the foundation of this belief? The abortion we saw last Saturday? Michigan has one QB who has barely played football (because of cancer & covid) and a running QB who would be starting if he was 50% of DJ U. No matter who starts, he will be playing behind a new o-line comprised of 5 guys who have only started last weeks games. We know they will run and use the TE. Just because OU and UH did something last year doesn't mean the worst QB group I can remember Texas facing (since we steamrolled OU 49-0), behind a brand new o-line, can do the same.
  4. This is the whole deal. We are going to stack the box and blanket Loveland with LBs & Safeties. We are going to force Michigan's disgrace of a QB room to beat us. Every talking head gets nervous about the 7 1/2 point spread (which isn't moving) when making their prediction. Everyone thinks Michigan can score with Texas to keep this close, but no one can articulate why they think this. Unless QE gets the yips and is firing INTs all over the place, do people really think the Michigan D can account for 2 TDs? Michigan has to get to 24 points or more to feel good about things and I don't think their one-dimensional offense can do it (since we know what is coming).
  5. I have a sneaking suspicion this trash will be the 4th wife of the Louisiana shoe-painter who was trolling these forums for business.
  6. Also, lost in all of this talk of comparing this Michigan D to Bama's D is that Bama had a highly functioning offense to support its defense, while Michigan's QB situation is comical.
  7. I have listened to more talking heads than I care to admit on YouTube this week. One was 2 gambling guys discussing this very thing. They theorized that it was the general public being too enamored with week 1 that jacked the line up to 6.5 (which is where it was when the video was made). They said they expected that, if the line got to 7 or 7.5, the sharps would pounce on that value, and the line would go back down to 6 or so. While it still could happen, it hasn't happened yet. Maybe the overreacting general public and the sharps agree.
  8. Exactly. It was a 6 point game until about 6 minutes left in the 4th qtr. If you are the defending national champ at home, and halfway through the 4th you are only up by 6, you aren't holding anything back.
  9. ...and pretty much the first thing they say is, "Based on what we saw last week, can this Michigan offense improve enough over the next 5 days to give them a chance to win this game?" These guys really feel their defense, anchored by their 2 stud DTs and their elite CB, will keep them in this no matter what.
  10. Did Hinton play? Was he hurt? Maybe I am mistaken, but I thought the annoucner said they were having to play a freshman at LT. I could be wrong. I was drinking.
  11. Why? I am not saying it 100% won't happen, but there are some very good reasons to think it is unlikely. This isn't Michigan from the past 3 years. This is a brand new o-line with (I am pretty sure) 2 true freshman Tackles. I am sure these guys were all quality recruits, but if they can manhandle Texas in their 2nd start, that would be an absolute shock. Especially since we are going to stack the box against the run. Why? To force them to pass. They are starting a walk-on QB who (because of his own health reasons & covid) really hasn't played much football. Their other option at QB throws like a drunk DJ U. Their 'stud' running back (who was on the cover of CFB 25) just ran for 27 yards on 11 carries against Fresno State. If it happens, this will be one of the most surprising Texas losses of our collective lifetimes.
  12. If Texas only scores twice, you can bang my wife. She is the sturdiest woman in Palacios, TX. Enjoy.
  13. Texas 45 Michigan 17 MIch WRs 241 yards (Michigan gets garbage time production in the 4th qtr).
  14. Furk. I will be getting my foot pumice treatment at 11:30. Someone needs to text me whatever Sark says that I might find to be interesting. And everything else too.
  15. Michigan had 25 yards rushing at the half. At Home. Against Fresno State. The Michigan o-line looked not good to me. Having to unexpectedly start this other QB must mean that Orji really is retarded. Nothing bodes well for Michigan. Nothing. I don't often bet but it is taking every ounce of self-control I have not to bet huge on the Horns.
