  1. Super smart race from Hocker there. Just sat behind the leaders, stayed on the rail, and made it through easily.
  2. Hocker has an excellent kick. No idea how this one is going to shake out. And it's just a semi!
  3. LoL you'll find out what I mean in a moment.
  4. Ingebrigtsen is another polarizing figure. He talks MAD shit ... but he mostly backs it up. I think it's a win-win for the sport but there are many who will hate you if you don't give the same, boring, insincere Bull Durham-inspired responses to interviews.
  5. Ah, I just think it came too easy for her, in a way. Maybe the recent disappointments will re-light that fire. And let's not kid ourselves--she would lose to Hodgkinson right now if she hadn't fallen at the Trials. She got waxed and finished fifth in an invitational a couple of weeks ago. She just hasn't been training/running enough.
  6. Oh? Would you be interested in making a huge wager on the outcome? While we're at it, how about we lay some money on the women's 100m final? I'm willing to put down $200,000 on another Texas-Ex, Julien Alfred.
  7. Shame Mu got bored with the event and lost the ganas. Hodgkinson stayed hungry and kept improving and is now faster than Mu ever was.
  8. Speaking of human slinkies ... Sucks his daughter faulted out.
  9. Yes, he's the one pretending ...
  10. It's not the fastest field ever since it's unlikely we're going to see any 9.6s, but it's definitely the deepest. Total fucking tossup who's going to win. Nod probably goes to the Jamaicans (Thompson or Seville) but they'll have to earn it.
  11. It looks fucking fantastic. I am furious with envy. LoL
  12. Fuck, I am nervous for the final! The sprints are not like the days of Bolt. Winning times aren't close to what he was throwing down. But the drama these days is off the charts. Untrue.
  13. Kerley got out strong but Thompson did not need many steps to catch him. Best news is Bednarek (and all three Yanks) made it to the final!!
  14. All of these semis are loaded. This last one is no exception. De Grasse, Hughes, Thompson, Omanyala, Kerley ... even Sani Brown is legit. Anybody's guess as to who is going to win the 100 final in a couple of hours. It is truly there for the taking. Taylor's finest!
  15. Also, bear in mind that the 100m is not Lyles' best event. He didn't even start running it professionally until the past couple of years. Same for Bednarek. Both are 200m specialists. I believe Noah has only lost twice in the 200m as a professional. That's almost unheard of. One of those, unfortunately, was in Tokyo 2020(21) when he was struggling mentally. The persona he adopts, as annoying as it apparently is to some, seems to help him be his best. It's weird but it adds some extra spice to the events and I'm all for it. For fans of form, pay attention to Letsile Tebogo of Botswana. Dude is as smooth as they come. 200m is his best event. And of course, Kung Fu Kenny is easy to root for!
  16. Wow, blistering semi. Jamaica's Seville takes it with Lyles just behind him.
  17. First 100m men's semi. Noah's up. Let's hope he looks sharper than he did in the prelims.
  18. It may be dated, and it sure as shit ain't stealthy, but got dam the Viper/Fighting Falcon is still a beautiful bird. (NOTE: This is a rendering, but I love the newer variant with the leading edge flaps and the mottled camo livery.)
  19. What's this "if" bullshit? Just admit you full-throttle want to scissor with her lithe, Ukrainian body.
  20. Quincy (Hall) looked like a cat playing with its food in his 400m heat. US looking great so far!
  21. Some past clips of Gardiner. Seriously, he is poetry in motion. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vhpT9JX6NNE Sucks NBC won't allow the first video to embed. Worth clicking on, I promise!
