  1. Nothing official from the university. My guess is they'll handle it like they did with Disu a year ago--roll him out late in non-conference, just before league play kicks off. So maybe another month. But that's pure conjecture on my part.
  2. Love the guy, even though he and McKenzie got absolutely cooked on the play that led to Jamaica's failed PK. (And, somehow, only Ream got criticized for it, but McKenzie was equally fucking inept at marking Shamar Nicholson on that play.)
  3. Calling you stupid would be an insult to stupid people!
  4. How can you be an England-based footballer from Jamaica and lose your passport? Holy shit, what a bizarre thing. Sympathies to McClaren--that's got to be infuriating.
  5. I'm still going to hope for the best and that Terry proves us wrong, however. Last year was super frustrating, but this season's roster is better constructed and seems very promising.
  6. Well, for starters, they were playing pickleball ...
  7. Technically, Ralphie didn't, either, but he did break his glasses. Did you bust your specs, MIA?
  8. Mo' like Dbeasy money, amirite?
  9. Did you attend in a pair of Wranglers?
  10. Not entirely up to him, but I'm hoping CP stays put. Not sure what's best for Pepi. As long as he gets a chance to play often and is challenged to continue improving, I don't care where he goes. Along with Balogun, he's our best striker and that pinpoint, clinical finish against Jamaica the other day is a great example.
  11. I don't think Lamar Jackson will ever win a Super Bowl. But goodness, he is exciting to watch.
  12. Thomas Jefferson once wrote, "All men are created equal." Thomas Jefferson never met Taysom Hill.
  13. Relatively certain this qualifies as the nerdiest thing I've ever done. About a year ago, I dipped my toe into the keyboard modding hobby. This basically involves replacing the stock keycaps, switches, stabilizers, USB cable--you name it--with custom after-market parts. The aim is to create a typing experience tailored to your tastes. For example, some folks prefer very quiet keys, others prefer louder, clicky keys, while many obsess over the amount of pressure required to activate the key. Aesthetics are also a factor. Does your keyboard have LED? Does the light shine through the keycap legends? Do you prefer a retro 80s IBM beige look or Anime? Maybe Halloween- or space-themed keys are your thing. The options are endless. Anybody else geeky (dumb?) enough to waste time on this?
  14. Kaluma had a couple of nice dishes to his teammates last night, including one from the top of the arc that led to a layup. At season's start, was worried he'd be a black hole but that doesn't seem to be the case. Team is wildly inconsistent but the effort is improving, particularly on the defensive end. They just need more time together. At the risk of sounding like a sunshine pumper, I think we have more balance and scoring depth than even the EE squad from a couple of seasons ago. However, that team had two years to jell; this version will only have one.
  15. Yeah, but his son will be ... next year. https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/42412951/syracuse-lands-kiyan-anthony-son-legend-carmelo-anthony
  16. Mack Brown is never coming back to Texas, and even if he did, it would have little to no impact on the basketball program.
  17. Don't disagree. Was just noting that Onyema didn't see the floor in the second half after making an appearance in the first. Was wondering if he got dinged or if Terry was unhappy with him.
  18. Best freshman edge I've seen at Texas since Tony Brackens.
  19. Beautiful drive and dish from Larry; Vinson with the flush.
  20. Vinson getting some serious run this half. Onyema made an appearance in the first half but hasn't been on the floor since. Injury or did Terry not like what he saw?
  21. Plus, fuck them for that "hack-a-Horn" strategy in the first half. Dunk away, fellas.
  22. Shedrick is healthy and rejuvenated, Kaluma impresses on both ends, Kent seems to be getting more and more comfortable, Pope and Larry are settling in, Weaver is never going to give anything less than his best, and Tre Johnson gonna Tre Johnson (i.e., the best freshman in the country). And then there's Tramon Mark (who I think sees the floor just before conference play begins) ... There is a lot of potential here.
