  1. Steam Summer Sale is back. Started a couple of days ago. Almost like the old days--some decent titles actually 90% off--but not quite.
  2. Are screens/picks permitted on set pieces? As much soccer as I've watched, I genuinely don't know. But if they are, then that was a poor decision. If they aren't, then it was a good call because that was definitely a deliberate pick. Thought I was watching a Texas Tech rub route for a moment.
  3. So let's call that a warning shot across the bow, shall we?
  4. The Azzurri begged the ref to let it end.
  5. That's quite a strike.
  6. Don't forget that late late LATE sub of Ream. See, when you're only playing with 10 men and the other side has had the initiative for 70 minutes, you definitely want to hold your subs until the last minute. It's 3-D chess, bruh. Setting aside my disrespect and dislike for Gergg, that ref Barton can die in a car wreck on his way back to the hotel. I'm sure his family will be well off thanks to whatever he was paid on the side for today.
  7. So I got real dark and bitter for that second half and might not be seeing things correctly, but did our substitute goalkeeper freaking DODGE a ball kicked right at him?
  8. I know I'm being dramatic, but that takedown of Turner was egregious. Weah deserved to be sent off, but Panama's done enough for the ref to "find a way" to put both teams to 10 ... if he were actually concerned with fairness.
  9. Got dam, Flo. Damn near a perfect strike, offsides or not.
  10. LoL this ref finally cards a Panamanian. That should be reviewed since it was the equivalent of a punch to the back. Dude went in with malicious intent.
  11. Think he misses the next match, as well, but that's up to CONMEBOL.
  12. This ref sucks more dick than Bob Stoops.
  13. Yeah, whatever the reason, there is no way Turner gives up that goal a year ago. Brilliant effort from BaloGUN offset by a soft goal courtesy of weak defending/netminding on our end.
  14. Only US players can commit card-worthy offenses, apparently.
  15. Turner has his shortcomings, most noticeably with his feet, but he previously was a world-class shotstopper. I dunno if that goal was the result of his loss of form at Nottingham or being injured on that "interaction" with the Panamanian player earlier.
  16. US had an early goal correctly disallowed for offside. Minutes later, on the other end of the pitch, Turner runs out to snag a long ball out of the air. An onrushing Panamanian player intentionally takes Turner out (head dives into him, in fact) even though he had no play on the ball. Turner lands HARD and is lucky not to separate his shoulder or break his clavicle. Not. Even. A. Card. To the Panamanian. Moments later, at midfield, Weah tries to jack a dude in the face and is given a straight red. A few more minutes go by and, Now down to 10 men, the US score a shorthanded goal thanks to a brilliant left-footed shot from Flo BaloGUN. That should catch you up. Welcome to the party, pal. EDIT: And now Panama has already equalized. Typical US marking. LoL
  17. OMG OMG OMG FUCK YOU PANAMA!!!!! FLO GO!!!!!!!!
  18. Anytime you strike out, it's going to be a straight red. So it's technically the correct call. Weah dumb for that. But what infuriates me is that it wouldn't have happened if the ref weren't a corrupt, ignorant piece of shit.
  19. This ref is a fucking regard. Can't card Weah for that if you're going to allow the other team to intentionally take out a keeper despite having no chance at the ball. Absolute fucking horseshit. And now he's going to VAR to try to escalate this to make it even worse. EDIT: Weah gone. And despite what I just wrote, a deserved card for Weah because he struck out. He's gotta do better. But he wouldn't have done that if the ref had been an honest ref and done his job when Panama was reckless and tried to take out our keeper. Absolute fucking horseshit.
  20. That is peak CONCACAF/CONMEBOL bullshit to not card the Panamanian for reckless play there.
  21. Yup, replay just showed that Ream was clearly off when Richards made contact. If Tim had been onside at that moment, his toe poke back to Weston would've been fine and the goal would've stood, but Ream was off and became active the moment he poked it back. Good call there, unfortunately.
  22. Fuck Panama for that, man. Keeper is supposed to be afforded some protection.
  23. Ah, fair point. And it was Chielini whom he bit on the shoulder and then pretended to act like his teeth were hurt. I just looked it up. He also bit someone in 2010 when he played for Ajax. It looks to be the worst of all, because he did it right in front of the ref and a whole crowd of people surrounding him and the other player. What a weird little man. Truly one of the great poachers of this generation, and his handball against Ghana was one of the top moments of the 2010 WC, but geez, did he have a bizarre way of lashing out.
