  1. Bama needs about a 50 year walk in the desert like we had over the 10 years from the end of Mack through Strong and Herman. Fuck those guys. After them, Ohio State needs a 100 year meltdown, since they've never had an extended down period, those fucks.
  2. God help us if we end up back with a SWC redux of Tech, Baylor, UH, TCU, A&M, and SMU.
  3. I don't think it should be shocking that we score fewer points on elite teams. Everyone scores fewer on elite teams. There isn't a chasm between Texas and Ohio State. It was a one score game and we didn't play well at the QB position. Last year it was also close in so called "big" games, other than UGA1. We're not losing due to systemic deficiencies, it's in the margins. Flip 1-2 calls or plays and the result flips. I believe Sark can get us there.
  4. You might as well post "Alexandria Daddario should suck my cock" because it's about as likely to happen as Sark hiring a real OC. Narrator: it's not going to happen. If the administration tried to force it to happen at some point, Sark would probably leave. He sees game planning and play calling as one of his strengths and views hiring an OC to do that as depriving the team of that strength, which to him would be dumb. You can disagree, but you don't get Sark the recruiter without Sark the play caller.
  5. The Good Defense - holding them to 14 when we aren't doing anything on offense was commendable Run defense - held them to under 2.5 yards/rush is good Pass defense - minimized explosive plays to 1 and took Smith out of the game again Punting - Boom-meister lived up to his name and buried one inside the 5. O line - about 200 yards rush, and they got a pretty good push. Pass blocking wasn't perfect but was good enough. Baxter had a really good blitz pickup at one point. Baxter - coming back from the injury, great to see it. The Bad Sark's offensive gameplan and script - looked to play to Arch's weaknesses instead of strengths. Not many screens or bootlegs. Didn't put Arch on the move where he had an option to pull it down and use his legs. Minimal motion compared to other big games, which helps decode the defense for the QB. No pony package to help force the defensive alignments. Penalties - too many false starts and holding. The Ugly Arch's accuracy - far too many passes were either airmailed, or in the dirt. Threw behind receivers (like Wingo on the 2nd to last pass), under threw (interception), or missed open receivers. Some of that is 1st real game timing issues, but for the first half it was really ugly. 37% of passes were off target per ESPN, highest by a Texas QB in the past 10 years. Woof. Arch's footwork and mechanics - related to the accuracy issue above but he threw many off his back foot and tried to sidearm several throws which was unnecessary. The Mahomes-effect? WR separation - namely the lack thereof. Wingo didn't break free much, and Moore was MIA. Credit to Jaggerson for getting just enough open on the TD catch.
  6. This can't be, because I know I've read multiple Derka posts on this thread about how Quinn was the 4th best QB on campus and Sark had "a fucking Manning" rested and ready on the bench.
  7. You play the schedule you get. Sayin didn't seem to have accuracy issues. That last toss to Wingo can't be on him. You're asking a WR who has created separation and has nothing but green field in front of him to anticipate that his QB is going to put it short and behind and throttle down? That's dumb. Arch straight up missed that throw, it wasn't even behind it was WAY behind him, and Wingo had to stop and contort his torso just to get a finger on it. If it was on target that was a first down minimum and potentially even an explosive play.
  8. Are you referring to the 1st one he threw into double coverage, or the 2nd one he threw that got intercepted?
  9. Mmmm gonna have to disagree with you on some of these. His pocket presence was OK and he didn't self-sack, which was good. But he did rush several throws and ended up airmailing or throwing them into the dirt. The long ball shot to Wingo was bad. It was forced into coverage, it was under thrown, and it was to the inside where the coverage had leverage instead of the boundary where at worst it would have been incomplete.
  10. You're maximizing QE's bad and minimizing his good. Yeah he had self sacks. He also was elite at hitting the short/intermediate throw on target, which was a key missing element today.
  11. Agree with this. But in the heat of the moment right now people are gonna say "that's aggy thinking"
  12. The last game we played the QB passed for 283 and 2TDs against the same team. That's a weird one to pick.
  13. It can be, and in this case was both the QB and the OC at fault. OC faults: Ongoing stubbornness in the red zone and on 4th down Not taking the points after getting stonewalled Poor game planning: minimal bootlegs, waggles, moving the pocket. Seemed to play to Arch's weakness vs. his strengths. Pre-snap penalties QB faults: Inaccuracy, even with minimal/no pressure in his face - I counted at least 4 throws just totally in the dirt and another 3-4 way over the head of the WR Forcing the throw to Wingo for the INT, coverage was there and throw was inside not to the boundary Missing wide open WRs to go to the higher risk option (first toss/fade in the end zone to Jaggerson)
  14. They don’t. But Manning didn’t just throw bad balls he threw uncatchable balls. Jerry Rice isn’t catching a ball in the dirt 5 feet in front of him, or a ball behind him as he’s running the opposite way in his route.
  15. Shit ass throw way behind him
  16. Runs and check downs. Sark doesn’t trust manning to throw against this D
  17. I feel you but let's reserve meteor for aggy vs. ou or bama v. georgia. This game isn't meteor worthy, it's more of a "I hope they run out of beer and everyone is sad" game
  18. That man on the street interview with the Irish was pretty funny. "What do you think is Kansas State's mascot?" "Probably... a tractor" I mean they're not wrong
  19. LOL I linked the UT coop page where they sell it
  20. There is flat-billed and then there is FLAT billed. For example, some might consider these Nike Texas baseball hats flat billed: ...which they are as compared to a traditional "dad hat" like this: ...but not to a super FLAT billed hat like this: you could press that up to a mirror and not bend the brim.
  21. I'm trying to imagine the persona who signs up for this: Peaked in high school, used to be an athlete and is now bored in their day job and says "man, I just want to recapture that feeling I used to have..." Roid-raging crossfitter wants to go hit someone Napoleon-complex little man whose parents didn't want him playing football and wants to "show everyone"
