  1. I joked with myself when I saw this game on schedule and thought "and Timme will still be playing for them". What is this? His 8th season with the Zags?
  2. I'm glad they reached their goal, hopefully more to come. Hospitals are expensive, being away from home even harder on the family.
  3. You've been misinformed if you think there's ever a chance of being kidnapped or beheaded. I lived there for about 8 months and my work might send me back because others in the company are just as misinformed. It is remote, but lots of flights go directly to all major Texas cities. The airport is an easy in and out. The drive back home for me (Austin) isn't that bad, it's an easy 8 hours. I had worse drives going back home when I lived 4 hours away in Galveston. The one hour drive I have now from New Braunfels sucks too. As for El Paso itself, it's great. People are nice, food is great, plenty to do. As said already, really safe place to live. It has its bad parts, like all cities. When I lived there, I had to find a place quick, sight unseen, apparently a bad part of town, but I didn't find it so. Nice neighbors, park down the street, but the locals I worked with kept telling me I lived in what is called the devil's triangle. Neighbor across the street did have a truck stolen from him, but he had 4 other vehicles and left the truck unlocked with keys in it. Lol. I miss the cost of living there, pay me what they do, feels like I won some kind of lottery. Downside for me, maybe not for you, no HEB. But I offset that with Vista Market. If your uncomfortable being around a lot of Mexicans, no matter how safe it is, then stay put. I love the place, hopefully for me I go back after the holidays, but with work, they'll probably call me and ask me to go tomorrow. One last thing, weather is mild except for the occasional dust storm. A lot of houses have swamp coolers, so if you go looking, keep an eye out for that. Look for central air.
  4. Doesn't seem like an ideal situation for the players. I guess it could work, but seems nuttier than squirrel shit, like an owner thinking he's bringing the glory days back , when in fact he's bringing in a guy who coached some high school football and talked a lot on tv. I'm sure the other coaches on staff appreciate it.
  5. They never admit when they fuvk up, they can't even own a loss. They will try to bury Jimbo under a mound of shit - throw him under the bus. Big time.
  6. That's the smart move
  7. I always assumed it was Stanford Steve and the Bear running that thing and never paid it any mind.
  8. The Astros won, stupid sip
  9. 3rd and long, blitz every time. Out-number the blockers and go. Why is that so hard to understand? That QB needs more time to get 15 yards down field, give him 2 seconds instead.
  10. I love that play call
  11. The big xii refs react like no others to fans screaming for a penalty and coaches running onto the field.
  12. Big xii just dragged TCU down the field
  13. Big xii can fuck off. They can go a game not throwing one flag, then they'll bail out the undefeated team with a 15 yarder when the guy barley touched the face mask. Or the bigger than Dallas pi not called. Terrible.
  14. Yeah, they're going to say no catch, but these idiots missed an obvious pi
  15. They said the flu isn't just the team, but most of college station, there's not one vet who figure that out?
  16. Nebraska used to have so many advantages that other programs didn't. Their S&C was well above others, they could get players who they can not now, mostly because the days of players showing up on campus and not going to any classes does not exist. There are still easy avenues for players to do more football than class, but they can do that closer to home and I would say most major programs have passed or matched NU in facilities and certainly coaching. There's not a lot of reasons to venture that far north into the middle of nowhere anymore. It used to be players would have problems getting into southern Cal schools or Florida schools and Texas schools, just go to Nebraska then. Landscape has changed and not for the better if you're Nebraska. They had a walk-on program which really meant you weren't a walk-on, you were just getting your free ride differently than you would on scholarship. 0.00 gpa, they'd get you in. Criminal background, come to the land of corn, we'll tell everyone you are reformed. It wasn't just NU, the Big 8 had a thing going and for whatever reason ou was the only one to come out ahead.
  17. I don't think Deion and Larry the cable guy see eye to eye on things.
  18. When I was kid I got punched in the throat, couldn't swallow food or drink. After the hospital visit and they got me running again, mom took me to Lone Star Cafe for CFS. Doesn't relate to the story, but one I wanted to tell. My momma is a Saint.
  19. This is why the playoff needs 16 teams, idiots like this run the show
  20. Lol, not those shit stains
  21. There's no way we're staying for this shit show.
  22. Throws his OC under bus, Sam will have a new head coach next season.
  23. Have to go back to high school to see if Cooper has ever thrown pass
  24. That was a great play design by Cleveland, have your non QB, wr1 throw the pass! Still needs more work, but oh boy!
