  1. I hope all the great memories come flooding back and stay with you. My condolences and prayers to you and your family.
  2. Good luck finding a mechanic to work on them
  3. That was a hell of a ride
  4. I don't think the pros liked the course, was it two courses? Too much. Seems like the field had gotten pretty week in years past.
  5. I'll get screws for Acea's gun, what kinda gun does he have? Oh, one of those Teddy Roooosevelt horse pistols
  6. Tebow would have been our qb coach and we'd see video of our quarterbacks jumping on trampolines, throwing footballs during practice.
  7. Mitchell has the Steve Elkington look down, few more LBs and no one would know the difference.
  8. I don't know, Bob, maybe you are the problem in horse racing. All these positive tests, your lawyers working overtime. Like the bank robber pissed off about high crime rates and pledging to fix it.
  9. Checked an episode of Apache and ended up binge watching most of the first season. Good story about a kid who grows up in the slums of Argentina to make it big (soccer) Second season is slated for August.
  10. I bet he goes low today, there's something weird about guys who almost miss their tee times shooting a course record.
  11. Where did Wings land on the list?
  12. DWI dude was fucking with the government's money.
  13. They bringing Ricky along to support the other guys?
  14. I believe when he said Lake Travis, he was including Steiner Ranch.
  15. Whoever wrote that is a either a woman, gay or never been married.
  16. You'll be okay for a little while, don't panic.
  17. You had an unopened Natty Light thrown at you. I've partied in that area several times, late 90s, it was pure debauchery. Those houses are literally a touch cleaner than a crack house.
  18. Is "homemade ranch" a dry packet and sour cream?
  19. If it has a Gulf Wild tag, you can see where and when it was caught. And you should always have the house scale the thing for you. Unless you have experience, it's fins will make you bleed and throb in pain, plus a snapper's scales are about the size of a guitar pick, it's not like scaling a trout with a butter knife, have to put in a little work.
  20. Have an alcoholic at work, I'm his supervisor. He's really good at what he does, he just can't string enough days together. He also thinks he's the most important person in this world (sound familiar? Does to me). Anyways, after missing a lot of days, fender bender, then covid, then high BP, then his wife is ill... I really had had enough. But before I could call him and tell him to come get his.tools, he calls me. He proceeds to tell me he was.doing me a favor by working at this site, but now I must pay consequences, that he's leaving and I won't have his talents anymore, that I'm stuck with the 2 other finishers who aren't on his level. He feels I let him down by telling him to stop barking orders (when he's actually at work), that I betrayed him. He cussed, said somethings and then tells.me he wants me to transfer him to another job site. Literally said "yeah, I'm done, send me to the job in North Houston". Told him we were done talking, he could come in and get his tools, he never showed. When my superintendent asked why? I told him the guy's an alcoholic, so his weekend started today and he'll be here next Tuesday or Wednesday, then he'll think he'll start his new job the week after, because going straight to the new job would be too much, a burden. Of course, there's no.new job, you can't talk to people the way he did and think we'll just transfer you to another job site. Wish I could talk to him, but in his alcoholic mind, I'm the worst person (unless he wants his job back). Reminds me when I was drunk and the old man who got me sober laughed and said "Patrick, wouldn't it be great if everyone just listened to you? Did what you told them to do?" I plan to tell him when he hits rock-bottom, to call me, ill help him out. You know who picks up a phone and cusses out his supervisor and thinks he'll keep his job? An alcoholic, that's who.
  21. You bring a tear to my eye mentioning Lone Star Cafe
  22. Here in Galveston, we call it the "alley" and it's whenever you feel like throwing shit away. One of the few things I'll miss about this place.
  23. And the pitching they faced in those 3 games, most pitches they saw were mid to upper 90s. Anyways, this team is coming along nicely. Tulo undoubtedly a great hire.
