  1. We were basically giving their WRs 10 yard cushions and asking our DL to hold blocks while we let our edges and LBs rush the passer. Our interior guys couldn’t hold any blocks, our edges basically didn’t exist, and our LBs sucked ass. The offenses essentially had plenty of time to sit back, count to 4 seconds throw to WRs that were bet given free releases with no press coverage. This why so many people were saying that our front 7 and secondary were not on the same page and it looks like now that Bo Davis was also being told by PK to have his Dline basically hold blocks. Probably a reason why he almost took the UF or LSU job. This is probably an effect of hiring assistant coaches for Muschamp’s scheme and asking PK to come in and work with guys he’s never worked with that may not believe on the same defensive philosophy. I will be shocked if PK is the DC after this season. There is a reason Patterson is here helping PK fix this mess.
  2. 52-17 Texas Bijan has 134 rush yards and 2 TDs in the first half with with 32 receiving yards and we don’t see him in the 2nd half.
  3. Sam kicking ass in the NFL. Dude put the whole Texas team on his back during his time here. Not shocking at all.
  4. He’s definitely not trust worthy within the game. I also find him annoying. At the same time, I give him props for doing what he did bc he was on his way out and now he’s found himself with equal numbers as the inside of the house. I personally wouldn’t trust him for a second in the game but I would have probably done the same instead of being “loyal” like Joeseph. I actually really like Joeseph as a person but this is big brother. You don’t sacrifice your own game for loyalty.
  5. Sark is ultimately responsible and the buck stops with him. I will say, there were a lot of factors that led to 5-7 last year and not all of it was because of Sark. A few bullet point below that I feel definitely impacted this team. 1. This coaching staff basically met this team and did their install through zoom meetings. I do feel that this in some form had an impact whether you want to call it relationship building or trust. Not being in your normal facilities and meeting rooms does have an impact when you're a new coaching staff coming in. This is not an excuse for the performance on the field, but I do understand it can have an impact. 2. The talent level on this roster was piss poor. Worthy as a true freshman in summer practice was out performing our entire WR room. This speaks about Worthy's talent but also speaks about the absolutely piss poor WR development by Andre Coleman and Herman. Sark had the opportunity to tell Coleman to get lost but kept him on board. That's his fault. I will say, he saw his fault and was able to get one of the best WR coaches in the country to come in. Marion has had a huge impact from a recruiting and developmental stand point. 3. This team severely lacked leadership last year. Casey Thompson was anything but a leader. The guy cared more about where he was on the depth chart than the team. Card on the other seems to be about the most boring, uninspiring teammate I've seen in a while. The guy shits his pants. Us as fans see during game days. The team sees it on a daily basis. There is a reason the players were tweeting about Ewers the minute he committed to Texas. Our veteran players were Casey Thompson, Derek Kerstteter, Coburn, BJ Foster, Josh Tompson last year. Half those guys barely put effort during actual games let alone practices. BJ Foster has quit the team during a fucking game. Hell we all saw him quit in the middle of plays multiple times. Not much you can do as coaches when you don't have anyone able to take his spot, 4. I saw open WRs and QBs in clean pockets unable to deliver throws and/or catch passes. I can think of 3 crucial drops in the Arkansas game alone where a WR was wide fucking open for a TD. Either the WR dropped the ball or the QB completely missed the throw. Not sure what Sark is supposed to do in this instance other than upgrade the talent. I'm not here to make excuses for PK bc that was the worst defense I've seen Texas toss out there. With that said, I saw Jerrin Thompson miss 1 on 1 tackles repeatedly while being the right position. I saw our DBs and safeties miss PBUs and interceptions regardless of being in the right position. I saw Schooler drop atleast 3 interceptions last year. At some point, these guys have to make the plays. Things that I fully blame the coaches for: 1. Sark assembled a defensive staff backwards. He should hired his DC first and then bring in assistant coaches the DC can work with. I fully believe the defensive coaching staff is not on the same page. You can see it from on the field. The DBs and front 7 are never on the same page. 2. Half time adjustments. This coaching staff had no clue how to adjust once the opponents were able to make adjustments to our game plan. This needs to change this year or we will lose more 2nd half leads. 3. Not utilizing the portal to bring in more OL last year. This staff believed a bit too much in their ability to develop this shit talent Herman left. Part of being a good coach is understanding your own limitations. With all the above, I'm not sure Sark could have had a better offseason. We hired him and he needs more than 1 year to objectively assess his time here. While he hasn't proven shit yet, I'm not sure what else you would want from portal and recruiting stand point. We locked up Patterson to help on defense. Brought in a smart LB in DTD to move Overshown to help in space and pass rush. They upgraded at CB with Watts and focusing on improving man coverage. The offensive talent is the best we've seen on the 40 in quite some time. He was able to get this talent in 1 offseason. Props to him, I've seen every other coach here fail at doing that. Now it's time to perform. If he wins less than 8 games this year, then he's going to get fired after his 3rd year. I do think we will see this team win 9 games. There's just too much talent on offense and I've seen Sark spectacularly get gets wide open time and time again.
  6. Terrence is just blowing up everyone's game which is really his only option at this point. Once they go back in Kyle and Alyssa will do whatever they can to survive and that includes throwing Terrence under the bus. He's really 1 of 3 people left outside of the leftovers. His best move is to blow up everyone's game to hopefully initiate some sort of reset with alliances.
  7. I went in thinking this would suck due to how bad the final season from a plot and writing standpoint. I thought this first episode was great. I’m hoping this story isn’t about a Targaryen girl being queen bc the entire GOT series was mainly about Dani trying to get the throne. I was hoping for something a bit different if you’re going to have a whole new story. Either way, fantastic 1st episode. I’ll be watching the whole series.
  8. Dude my wife is 9 months preggo and our first baby is due in 3 weeks. I probably shouldn’t have let her watch that scene…
  9. Kyle needed to do that but he’s fucked now. When the rest of the house finds out, they will probably vote him out next. Terrence and Alyssa need to get the leftovers to turn on each other next week or they’re next as the only two options left after Jasmine gets voted out. If I’m Terrence and Alyssa, I tell the rest of the house that Kyle, Joseph and Turner exposed the entire alliance and do whatever you can to create tension and a rift.
  10. Shutdown my office today. Fuck commuting on 635 and on 30. Parts of the highway look completely flooded.
  11. Why does the Texas AD and Bianco allow FCB and that fat fuck Ketch and Anwar at media sessions. Those guys need to be banned yesterday. Let them report whatever the fuck they want but being banned from media sessions would 100% publicly show their subscribers they are full of shit. Card was never going to be the starter. Whether you like it or not, the players read these reports and I can definitely see Sark being frustrated. The way he announced QB1 without telling the team first tells me it was a big fuck you to the 9.95ers. Sark has a responsibility to coach and develop Card and I’m sure he probably felt it was unfair to Card and the team. In short, fuck ketch, Anwar, Chip, and even Mike Roach. Nahlin can fuck right off too. Those guys don’t know jack shit. The only people you should feel confident in are Gerry and Bobby. Although, I will say that TFB tend to be the first to break a lot of news and tend to be right as well.
  12. Hell fuck it. Just go with Banks, Connor, Campbell, Hutson, Williams. Just rip the bandaid and get their guys reps so we can make a run in 2023 with Quinn, Worthy, Neyor, Sanders, etc.
  13. Yup, that was the point I wanted to make. No reason Texas can’t do the same especially if resources are available.
  14. Just curious because I'm not connected in any sense to this program as far as players and coaches and NIL outside of burnt ends. Do you know that the staff isn't involved in connecting the players to the right people or relaying to certain staff/alumni that certain players need deals put together in the future? I would be shocked if the staff isn't putting players in touch with the right people after their recruiting visits etc. We know for a fact they pitch NIL in their presentations as we've seen screenshots of their powerpoints highlighting Bijan's and Worthy's deals. Are they directly organizing the deals? Obviously no. But I would bet they are involved in making sure the right people are connected to the players to make these deals happen when they step on campus. My point was the staff needs to full on press for as many elite players and do what they can to make sure they are connected with the people that can organize deals for them. This is how recruiting is now at other schools. If they are not doing this, then they need to be fired for not taking advantage of the resources our school, fanbase, and Austin companies have to offer.
  15. I would surprised if the staff didn’t have something lined up for Cook and Baxter the minute they step on campus as far as opportunities go. I could be wrong…
  16. So we recruit Jordan Matthews from the start and make him a priority while other schools put him down on their list till he had verified track times yet he commits to a school that jumped in late. This is the new recruiting world with NIL. Literally nothing matters for the most past outside of what you have to offer from a monetary standpoint. We benefited with Kirkland in the same manner and other recruits. This should motivate the staff to put forward the best offers to elite prospects even if we are late to the party. I guess this is sort of happening with Damien Wilson
  17. I'm mentally prepared for our QB situation to fully suck. Ewers is supposed to be a generational talent but the dude hasn't played a meaningful down of football in 2 years and it's quite the jump from South Lake to facing Bama in game 2 of your career. I'm not sure what to think of his time at Ohio State. It's not like camp reports from the buckeyes were glowing of his talent level and he didn't exactly beat out the back ups either. I know he walked in enrolling early with no knowledge of the playbook but I was hoping to hear of some substance of his talent and performance from his time there. I know spring is hard to judge but he seemed to throw a ton of interceptions and has done so through 1 week of fall camp as well. If Card is playing better, you start him as much as I hate typing that because I've already seen him shit himself in games and show the worst body language and leadership from a QB in a long time. With that said, scrimmage 2 is where we always see the offense dominate the defense, yada yada yada. At some point, he's going to have to show he's better than Hudson Card. If not, a lot of people will be wrong about him and his hype.
  18. I doubt Hall knows more than 5 plays from the playbook. Inconsistent hands, poor attitude, and thought he was entitled to a starting position. I’d rather this staff out their energy into Red and Thompson.
  19. And we’re relying on Whittington and Omerie to fill in starting positions, two guys that can never stay healthy.
  20. Maybe Billingsley saw what a moron Bill O’Brien is and wanted out immediately…
  21. It seems that every DC here seems to want to force their schemes whether complicated or not on our players. It seems that our best defenses generally stem from really simplifying and dumbing down the concepts and letting them just be athletes. This defense still has blue chip athletes at every spot. When things get tough, I really don't understand why we don't just go to 4-2-5- or 4-3-4 and put your best 11 out there. Keep it simple and let them attack the ball. This method may not make us look like UGA or BAMA, but I'm sure it will help us avoid letting Kansas punk us at home and drop 50 on us with walk-ons. The only ones that really did this were Muschamp, Greg Robinson, and Chris Ash. Not keeping Ash was probably a very stupid move from a continuity stand point and seeing improvement during his year here. I would much rather have Ash and Hutzler over PK and Choate.
  22. Chip Brown is a piece of shit that reports for clicks. Whether the shit about Hall and Billingsley is true or not, you let the coaches handle it and report it later in the season or after the season rather than writing unverified info 2 days into fall camp. He should be cut off from having any access to any practices and media sessions.
  23. Sark also is probably one of the most likable coaches out there. Every coach he’s been under whether it’s Pete Carrol, Saban or people he’s coached with have respect for him and genuinely seem to like him. A lot easier to hire a nice likable person compared to an asshole like Herman. I’d be shocked if he landed a blue blood job like Sark again.
  24. Tom wasn’t and isn’t a terrible coach. He’s had better success as head coach with his success at UH and winning a sugar bowl at Texas along with winning bowl games every year than most Power 5 coaches. Is he an elite coach, definitely not but he’ll forsure land a gig when his buyout runs out. The problem with Herman is that he is a narcissist asshole that nobody likes. His locker room almost revolted on him. Dude embarrassed the university multiple times with his stupid amateurish behavior. He wants to be like Urban Meyer and hung out with the likes of Zach Smith. I’d rather lose 5 games and be a laughing stock than suffer through his mediocre 7-8 win seasons and watching him act like a child asshole representing our university.
